    I put the head office details as my local branch would only send it there.

    i had also been given an address on a letter when i recieved my statements.

    You can do either or. Addresses of head offices can be found in the Reclaim Bank Charges Help Thread.

  • Hi all, Im new to this so am totally unsure what to do. I heard about reclaiming bank charges and so requested my statements from my babk and recieved them today, I am unsure what I can reclaim back, on my statements I have charges made by the bank to my account and also interest debited can I claim on both of these, just one or neither? Any help at all would be gratefully received. thanks xx :confused:

    Missy dont use that link above just go to the reclaim your bank charges helpthread and scroll down to post 4# this tells you exactly what you can and cant claim for.

    Account misuse fee
    Cheque return fee
    Card misuse fee
    Unarranged borrowing fee
    Unauthorised overdraft fee
    Unpaid DD fee
    Unpaid cheque fee
    Unpaid standing order fee
    Late payment fee (credit cards, store cards, catalogues etc)
    Exceeding Authorised Overdraft Limit
    Exceeding Unauthorised Overdraft Limit
    Direct Debit/Standing Order/Cheque returned fee
    Irregular fee
    Paid refferal fee
    Total charges (HSBC personal accounts only, not business accounts)

    CANNOT BE CLAIMED

    Cash Machine Withdrawl Fees
    Account Service Charges
    Service Fee / Annual Fee
    Charges related to foreign currency transactions and conversions.
    Monthly account fees on certain type of accounts.
    Normal overdraft interest charges

    am not that sad to follow people, however you are posting bum replies and copying and pasting the exact same info as I have supplied and you are therefore following my posts on replies to people, whilst we know you are trying to help, you are actually supplying wrong information..or you are going around the houses to supply. I think as Beates has already suggested and myself and others, READ the reclaim your bank charges help thread.

    I have had a letter back from my bank and they have listed every bank charge possible on there including arrangement fees, interest charges, service charges, unauthorised borrowing fees etc, does anyone know exactly which charges i can claim for so i can work out what to claim and i can send them a list.:confused:
