HI, so i've got the list of charges that i need to sort through so do i just write and request them to be refunded and how long do they have to reply?
Cheers!0 -
Next step - go to the MSE homepage and at the top you'll see an icon that says 'relaim £1,000s' go to that then to the bank charges section and that will guide you step by step. There is even a calculator where you put in each charge and date and it will do the rest for you. Then there are the template letters to follow.
I highlighted all the charges on my bank statement which made entering them into the calculator quite easy and painless. It probably took me about 20 minutes. I've got it ready to go but haven't submitted it yet.
My next challenge is to get all my credit card charges together so I can claim them back. Good luck.

you can claim back for, bounced dd,so or when you have unathorised overdraft charges, meaning you have gone over your limit. or when they have stopped your direct debits or standing orders stop you going over the limit.as far as i know thats it.0

im just asking on behalf of my girlfriend who is a full time student.
lloyds tsb have been handing out bank charges for being overdrawn, usually by a considerably small sum, which does not justify such huge charges.
she cannot afford to be charged this way and usually cannot help matters. she works hard whenevr she can but if her student loans arent being paid in on the day theyre supposed to it can end up in another £40 charge/
after abit of investigation i came across this forum and would like to ask on how it is you go about reclaiming charges.
i need to help her out, shes working so hard and doesnt deserve this :-(0 -
go on to the main site you'll find out all the imformation there0

Hi, can someone help me please, I'm totally new to this, My daughter who's 19yrs old moved to live in Cardiff and around 4 month ago she opened an account with Natwest, well since 3mth ago they have been charging her for being late with a few payment but for the past 2 months they have charged her nearly £1,000 they took all her wages which left her with just under £200 which meant she had no money to pay her rent (this is how she found out from her landlord she had no idea she had any charges)or any other bills, they said she had done 3 cheque's (for night classes)which there wasn't any money to cover, she has only £100 overdraft but they still cashed her cheque's up to £400 (are they aloud to do this) so they have charged her for the cheque's plus going over her overdraft which came up to nearly £450 just in charges in 3wks, she went to see them on Thursday last week they recommended for her to close her account and open another and hopefully the head office will refund her even though she commented this was unlikely as it was her fault, she did as they said, Im not sure if this was the right thing to do ? we are at a loss as what we need to do now to try and get her money back, please bear in mind i will need STEP by STEP instructions0

It's generally recommended you commence the claim and get as far as the court stage where it will likely be stayed. This means when the test case is finished, you will have claim which can be settled accordingly depending on the outcome.0 -
many thanks with your advice will no get the letters sent out hopefully the banks will get stuffed this festive season ( or just after ):beer:0
