Calling me names? Why would you need to do that? I haven't this is about my eldest and his behaviour not you and about me and my behaviour and reactions and his, teenagers being
    asthey
are, me being as I am, it is a storm, people say it will pass, it cannot be labelled and bundled up and hoped for it to pass, one day I hope it does I really do and I am sure if he was on here right now he would agree...

Because when someone asks for advice or vents and then doesn't appear to take heed of peoples replies it often descends into name calling and all that kind of rubbish. It would have been easier for me to do that, but not the right thing for me to do that.

Thats his choice, to make, I for one would let him decide fior himself, and you just worry about how many sprouts to cook. Try and relax a bit, no point in giving yoursef an ulcer.

    I get that..............

Why not print the whole of this thread out and passing it your son to read? You might be surprised at his response. Maybe he knows just what he is doing, and why he is doing it.

The truth is humiliating, he knows he reads he sees the truth is it.

So you want your son to be and feel humiliated and you want him to know that you see his humiliation?

Again this seems a very worrying emotional reponse.

Your Son sounds very intelligent. He knows which buttons to press, and how to make you feel inadequate. This in turn is making you angry, upset and felling like a failure. You are none of these things, and until you realise this he will carry on playing his games and by the sounds of it, winning.

Try to remember you are only human, stop beating yuorself up over him.
