  • I have two current accounts with natwest from two different branches. Do I have to pay the fee for getting my statements twice so once for each account? Also am I able to send letters with info on both accounts to main address for natwest or would it be better to send seperate claims to local branches? Any help would be much appreciated. Busy working mum with no time to do this really but I hate Natwest and want my money back I will then save them the job of closing my bank accounts and do it for them!
  • As you are sending the info/statement request to the DPA address for NatWest, (post 1 in Reclaim Help Thread in my signature) one letter, one cheque will do.

Once you start your actual claims it would be better with two separate claims to the branch addresses.

This is not correct you can claim the money at the same time just quote the 2 different account numbers on any correspondance, this will save in court fees should you require to file a court claim.

  • ... is it likely that they will then turn around and waste time telling me to go to the other local branch for those charges on the account they don't hold at that branch? Just to be a pain in the neck I mean, considering they are all one company I would think that this method of sending for both accounts wouldn't be a problem. but its not going to be a cosy nice chat in the park is it. Anything to be difficult!

    Hi,

I had 2 barclaycard CCards, I am just putting together my letters, do I have to send a separate £10 for each of the cards or does £10 cover both - as I read on the site that you pay £10 to request ALL information they have on you. Also, do I put in 2 claims or can I do it all under 1 claim as it's the same lender?

Your thoughts would really be appreciated, many thanks

  • Hi there,

Just looking for a little advice. Im starting the process with my DPA request at the moment, but I also have 2 accounts. Both are with Barclays but one is a joint account with my wife and one is just my own. How do I go about claiming in this example? Should my request and letters all be signed just by me (i.e. can I claim the charges on a joint account in just a single name) or do both me and my wife need to sign letters.

If we both have to sign, Im guessing this is two requests because she is not a signaturary on my personal account?

ou just need have to sign for your account and the joint as you are a signatory on the account.

  • One letter, one cheque for the request for your info/statements. I would suggest two separate claims and as I have been told today this is wrong I'll explain why.

Any monies reclaimed will be credited to the account you claim from so if the claims are done jointly the monies may go into an account you don't want it credited to.

One SAR and one claim, just quote both account numbers.

Wow - that was quick! Thanks!

As I have closed these accounts last year, the monies will go into a completely different account - so would it then be easier to do them under one claim or still better for separate?

    One claim for both accounts.
