Hi, a quick question that has probably been asked many times but I havent been able to find the answer. My account with Cahoot has both a current account and a credit card. If I send the first letter requesting details of all charges do I need to send a seperate letter for the current account and credit card? If not, should I specify that I wish to have the details of charges for both accounts?

I greatly appreciate any advice and guidance.

    Thanks

Hi there. I have read through martins money tips for months now and am now going to try and reclaim my bank charges.
There is one question that I do not seem to be able to answer. I have single and joint accounts with the Halifax and am not sure if I send individual letters for each account along with £10 for each, or do I detail all acount numbers on the one letter and just send one £10 cheque? I am worried that if I make a mistake at my first attempt of reclaiming the charges I will not be successful in my claim.
  • Anyone know the answer to this, I have been wondering the same thing?

Oh no!!! I wanted to get my claim in the post ASAP so I posted separate letters each with a cheque this morning. Only now do I find the answer to my question when I got home! I hope this bad start is not an indication that my claim will not be successful!! I wonder if the Halifax will refund the extra money I have just sent them!!?!
  • I am looking to reclaim my bank charges from Lloyds but I have 2 accounts with them, do I need to send them £10 for each account and does anyone know the address to send it to?
  • I have 2 accounts with Lloyds TSB that I wish to reclaim charges for. To request this information from my bank, do I need to pay more than a £10 cheque as I am asking for details of two accounts?

Any help would be much appreciated

With regard to single bank - multiple accounts, I honestly wonder how many times "one letter one cheque" needs to be repeated in a measly 5 page thread before someone actually reads the thread before posting ? Or even the same page ?

My husband and I both have seperate credit card accounts with Tesco and sent a £10.00 cheque requesting statements along with a letter with both account numbers on it. I have only received my husbands statements.

Should I have sent 2 cheques for £10.00

    Please advise.....
  • Hi Guys, I'm just starting this process (quite scared!) but have a query already! I'm with HSBC and have two accounts (one for paying bills and the other for everything else) both of which have had charges over the years, should I just claim on the account which has the most charges or should I go for both of them? Don’t want to go overboard and annoy them from the start?

Any advice would be appreciated - as I said I will go for it but I'm fairly nervous about it all!
