  • Hi, I'm new to the forum and was hoping for some advice. After watching the Tonight program on Friday I have decided to take on LloydsTSB to reclaim charges. I don't now bank with them so I don't have to worry about setting up a new account. I had a current account and credit card with them and am looking to reclaim charges for both.

When filling in the template letter I can remember my account number for the current account but not the credit card. Can I just add a note in the letter asking for details of the credit card charges without having the number to hand? Also do I have to send 2 cheques for £10 due to these being 2 separate accounts? Many thanks
  • One letter, one cheque for £10 will do and they should be able to find your credit cards via the details on your current account. If you have changed address give any relevant addresses and your date of birth.
  • I intend to send my request for details of charges letter to Yorkshire Bank this week. I have two accounts at the same branch. Do have to pay £10 for each account or does the fee cover both? Also, can I claim this fee back with my charges?

    Hi,

With the bank charges, the first step is to get the statements, and it say's on the articles here to send off a £10 cheque because 9 out of 10 times you will be asked to pay £10, but I would like to get statements for 2 accounts, so would I have to send off 2 £10 cheques, or still send 1 off for £10?

    Also...

A friend of mine said that the banks are changing the rules or something and you only have until the 1st April to apply for the statements/money, is this true?

    many thanks,

    Andy

  • Hello

I have an account with smile bank and an account with Co-op bank. Does anyone know whether I can get away with paying only £10 for them to provide copies of statements for both of the accounts, as they are both part of the Co-op Group???

Thanks to anyone who can help or advise on who can.

  • Hi,

Sorry if this has been covered before I'm a bit of a newbie!

I'm going to start claims against both HSBC & Halifax for charges on my current accounts, when I send the initial letter regarding the details of charges can I put down my credit card & current account details on the same letter or do I have to send 2 seperate letters and cheques?

    Hope this makes sense.

    Thanks in advance.
