Sorry I am new here and have only just joined this forum.

    Hi everyone!

I am just embarking on claiming bank charges back from LLoyds TSB and was wondering if you need to send a seperate letter and fee for every account number even if the accounts are all with the same bank, or do you just need to send the one £10.00 fee?

I did try scrolling through all the threads before asking but couldn't find anything.

My other question is, if the case does go to court and you lose, does that mean you have to pay charges for losing etc.

Sorry about all this but I'm just not very up on all the legal stuff :o

One letter, one cheque for £10 but give all account numbers as using the first template letter (SAR request) in Martin's article you are asking for all information/statements held on you as a person not on a single account.

Should you end up taking the bank to court you will be going through small claims court and there shouldn't be any charges should you lose.

    Thanks very much for this.

I just sent off my first letter for 4 accounts with a £10.00 Postal order today but then realised afterwards that I could also have claimed for a Credit Card I used to have with Lloyds as well but no longer have now. Would I need to send another £10.00 if I send another letter about this?...or will they automatically include it with the other accounts with the account being from the same bank?

Also, I cannot for the life of me remember what my credit card account number was....what would I need to do about this?

Hi, I'm planning to write to HBOS to ask for a refund of charges. I am a bit puzzled though about the amount I need to send. I have three HBOS current account, two at one branch and one with another. I'm not sure if the £10 will cover all my accounts or if I need to write a separate request for each account, each branch etc.

    Any clues?

Also, has anyone had success reclaiming from HBOS?

I've been meaning to claim back my bank charge but as per, i'm lazy and dont like doing paperwork...

i've just filled in the sample copy with my details, but i have two bank accounts with them, is it just a case of putting both account numbers on the one letter with a £20 cheque or two £10 cheques??

one account is £200 over the overdraft and has been sent to their claims department where i have now got a repayment plan set up altough they messed up my address, blamed me and i almost got black listed he said, they have my new address and still nothing..

i'm thinking claiming back my charges will cancel out my debts with them (currently £1700) after all, christmas period just past i raked up over £400 worth of charges...

i'm still getting charged £10 a month on the bank account thats in the hands of the claims department which is the one the repayment plan is supposed to be set up with, can i claim back these??

and can anyone recommend a bank (i'm in scotland) to set up a new account with, i take home £1000 a month and just need one account that will do all... i am currently with the RBS, they really need new staff as some of the people i've talked to are rude and ignorant, but saying that some are very helpful but i'm guessing thats the same with every high street bank!!

    thanks for any help recieved

    cheers

    stewart
