Thanks for your reply. I have read the instructions and they are very useful. I have also been on the CAG website, which is also brilliant. I just wasn't sure if they would send the charges separately or in a bundle of statements! Big job! Shall I just highlight the bank charges and use the calculator to work out how much...do you think it's a good idea to put in on a spreadsheet?
Thanks for your help.0 -
Hi there!
May have been answered before, but am planning on sending my 1st set of letters in next day or so.
If I have a number of accounts at same bank, can I send one letter with all account details and then only pay one £10 fee for the statements? or am I better off keeping them seperate?
Any help v. gratefully received0 -
One letter, one cheque for £10 but when you start your claims, keep them separate.0

Just a quickie. Will I need to include £10 and covering letter per account, or will one covering letter and fee be enough for all accounts at a single bank?
I have 2 current accounts with the Halifax and I did have a Credit Card account with the Halifax which has now been closed and transfered to a loan, would I be able to claim on that account too?
I cant imagine it will be much, if anything, to claim as I aquired my first over draft last week. My penalty charges have been a result of Direct Debits and the occasional late payment on the closed credit account. Still, I figured its work a look.

I am about to start the claim procedure with Halifax.
I have two current accounts and used to have a credit card with them as well.
I have all my statements for the two current accounts but no statements for the credit card account. I will have to request these and pay the £10 charge for copies.
What I really want to know is, do I need to write a letter to Halifax for EACH account I want to claim money back on or can I put all three claims on one letter?
Many Thanks in advance ....;)0 -

My advice ....0 -
The amount im owed isnt huge, SO im thinking one claim would be SO much easier.
Its around £400 for the two current accounts and probably another £600 on the credit card, but the credit card I had from 1999 - 2002. I know this card had a LOT of charges on it (Student days!)
Its a shame I havent claimed earlier as I will only be able to claim the last years charges on the credit card! ...Any way around this?0 -
Can anyone tell me if you can list more than one account on the fist letter when you are asking for a list of charges ? Or do you need a to start a fresh for each account.
I had a business a/c till 3 years ago & know I had a lot of charges on it so i would like to claim on this a/c as well as my personal one.
Thanks.0 -
I am sending off my first letter(s) to Alliance and Leicester.
I have 2 accounts - does this mean I have to send 2 letters, enclosing £10 with each letter - or can I list both account numbers on one letter and just send £10?
One of the accounts is a joint account - do I have to change the "I"s to "We"s, and do we both need to sign the letter?
