Hi everyone

Another change we're making this morning is to the colour of original posters' posts (both first post and subsequent replies), which many of you have been asking for.

Once it's in place if you notice any problems can you report them on this thread please?

Thank you!

So the body of the post is to be coloured the same pale green as the surrounding elements, rather than white as they were previously?

I'm not sure that places enough emphasis on the posts from the OP?

Many forums have things like alternating changes in post background colours that look very similar to that change, so I think many people may still fail to register than there is anything different about the posts.

I think a more obvious colouring of the posts would be better?

Or at least a slightly different colour than the surrounding elements?

seeing lots of complaints about this MSE Andrea.

People using the old skins are saying OP's posts have a green background and one of the OP's uses orange writing so makes it hard to read her posts.

When I view in old style its mostly white and when I view when using forum default its added a lot of green (which looks ok)

Sorry Andrea but I have to say that this is absolutely horrible :( as it makes it very hard to concentrate on the Op's text

and it isn't very good for people with poor or failing eyesight like me!

I have had to stop using Competitions Time this morning because of the new change as my eyes are struggling to focus on the Op's text

it might be OK if you are just viewing a few post's but for anyone who views a lot of post's I:E peeps in Competition Time this will slow them down considerably or even stop them from using it completely like me

while I am here could I just say a big thanks for the WOW feature it's great :D

it's also the same green as the quote boxes which makes it really difficult if the OP goes on to quote people in posts

sorry but this makes it very hard to read many posts
especially colour coded posts in coupon thread.
the posts i quote now are all green, so hard to make out the quote bit

perhaps the side bar or top line of original thread posters posts could change colour instead

Not keen - made me think something had one wrong with people's quoting!

It needs to be distinct from quotes at the very least - but using a third colour may be even more distracting.

Personally I prefer the way it was - though I can see the benefits of distinguishing the original poster - in some contexts at least.
