New tweak this morning: Original Poster's colour change

I find post 14 very difficult to read compared to black font and impossible on a phone0

I agree with others that there would be better ways to indicate the OP (e.g. change the colour of the left-hand panel) but glad that something's been done about it as it is annoying not registering that you're reading a post from the OP.0

It didnt work for me until I allowed firefox 'noscript' to allow everything to show on mse0

Yes changing the surrounding colour (header, left panel, footer) for the original poster (from green to something that stands out more) would be much better - and leave the background white. Is that doable?0 -
i wondered why things were looking green! now that i know what it is, it makes sense and is useful. no idea how else might be better but as an idea, i like it!:happyhear0

I'm not seeing any change at all - and I've tried changing the skin (even tried 'old look') but nothing doing
<---- feels left out

Hi Folks
Thanks for the feedback so far. We are starting to see where it's causing some potential issues so please keep it coming and we'll collate it and look to find a better implementation. Hopefully most people like the premise of what we're trying to do though - it was in response to a strongly supported suggestion thread created by our users on this very board so we're hoping it's something that will aid, not hinder.
The above suggestion seems a logical step to solving the contrast issues people are having with the main post content but please do keep the constructive replies going.

Can the tweak be undone until a better implementation is found?
so that I can use the forum again!0 -
I'm not keen on all the highlights. Did the suggestions come from users of a specific forum where there are lots of replies to any given thread and could the changes be limited to those forums?0
-
Or just maybe you could give forum users the option of opting in/out to changes? I think it's horrible. Many people wanted a Tesco sub forum for grabbits but you didn't do that (although I do appreciate all the efforts to move them into Food Shopping & Groceries now).0
