felt the need to say something positive - i actually like it, it makes it easier to find things in long posts, but then again i don't have posh phones for internet access and only use a computer

think it came up whilst I was posting because when I went to dt I could see it on the OP

If I'm honest I'v never understood the need for it but I suspect it is important on other boards to serve as a reminder that a thread is to assist the op. Problem seems with the quoted post sporting the same color. I'm not sure if I'd take note if there's something on just the side panel specially because the avys are vibrant and different to one another anyway. The color of the quotes or the op, op quotes and subsequent op quotes need a color different to the usual colors, but one that would blnd and not be distratcive. Outlinin might solve, not a fan of outlines though unless it is done in broad lines.

I saw this in a forum thread and thought I was going mad! :rotfl:

How about just giving the top row of the OP posts (i.e. where the username, date/time and post number is shown) a different colour?

I really like those suggestions! Maybe a few options could be put in place, and then the user chooses their preferred format in User Control Panel perhaps?

I like the concept, but the mass of green when the OP quotes their own post is a bit OTT, so highlighting in some other way would seem to be better.
Signature removed for peace of mind

The idea of the op panel color to be different sounds nice; not sure if it would look nice. The one we have now is the best imo, just that the quotes in op's posts probably needs a little tweaking or the color of op simply inverted or their quotes inverted color or to have a white outline.

I like the idea of highlighting an OP's subsequent posts... but all the colours look the same as they always have to me... There's nothing in my browser's cache, so I guess the changes have been revoked for now...?

To aid readability, particularly for anyone using a non-default browser or OS colour scheme or with a vision impairment, I reckon that highlighting posts with a colour border, rather than a background, sounds like a good idea...

It's a step in the right direction but I totally agree with some others, would be far better (and in keeping with other forums that do this) if the left panel and top bar of the post were a different colour rather than the actual post content block
sorry but this makes it very hard to read many posts
Whereas posting with orange text doesn't do that at all does it ;)

many of you have been asking for.

    1 - can i ask how many ?
it was in response to a strongly supported suggestion thread created by our users on this very board

2 - what does it take to become 'strongly suppported' ?

i ask these questions because i submitted feedback for an idea on this very board and not never ever did i get a single response from MSE Towers :( so i'd like to know how much of a rally round i have got to do to get/see some action

there aren't many new feedbacks a day - 5 at most i reckon - and i think it would be nice/courteous that if a member takes the time out to write/post and offer feedback, a response from the powers that be should be forthcoming

btw here is by feedback in case you hadnt seen it
