Is it possible to register other family members phone numbers for them ???
What i mean is can i register my brothers number for him and add his credit card number as he doesn't have access to the internet(hope that makes sense)

If your son is going to spend that sort of time phoning the USA, it'd be worthwhile signing up for 1899 as well - they now charge ½p a minute to US fixed lines.I have an NTL phone and I have had no trouble dialing or being cut off. My sons girlfriend is in America and he is often ringing her for 1 to 2 hours at a time and isn't cut off. It is late evening when he rings though due to the time difference, but he is well pleased at only paying 1p a min, just hope it lasts for a while30 years, 217 days!0 -
Of course, there's no reason why you can't set up an account for someone else. Just need to provide their details eg. phone number, credit card and E-mail address. You could manage his account for him, if he doesn't have access to the internet (although you will know the numbers/durations of all his phone calls!)
Alternatively, I have added a series of numbers to my own account. I have my own, my parents' and my parents'-in-law's numbers all on my single account. Calls are nicely grouped together by telephone number, for me to review.
I 'was' planning to charge both sets of parents monthly, but it looks like their bills are only going to be 40-50p per month, so it hardly seems worth it.
PLUS....buckets of Brownie points for me offering to pay their phone bills!
Cheers,

An excellent bonus in addition to saving loads of cash!I 'was' planning to charge both sets of parents monthly, but it looks like their bills are only going to be 40-50p per month, so it hardly seems worth it.

If you add another phone number to your 18866 account eg my parents are their calls listed separately on the account ?0

Yes but you then can't use 18866 with them and as you have posted on the 18866 thread I assume you use them?
Don't get me wrong, I don't like having to use BT but we don't have a great deal of choice as yet

That's interesting the cheap line rental, but their calls at 2.5p day and 1p evening per minute excluding VAT are more expensive than 18866 current price of 1p fixed including VAT. And I think to use 18866 you need to have a BT line if I'm right.
I'll leave it to Martin to figure this one one, my heads buzzing at the thought of it all. ie what level of calls would justify a switch to a cheper line rental.
Martin if you're reading this I think you should really go for a national campaign for companies to show their geographic number on all their letters etc. I spend 20 minutes last night listening to music while phoning a travel company, ended up puting the phone down but it could have cost me £2 if I'd used their advertised number >:( luckily thanks to this site it only cost 1p ;D0
