            You can use 18866 with Telewest etc but the company with the cheaper line rental definately won't allow you to use a carrier for your calls.0

            Anyone worried about the risk of giving continuous card authority to a Swiss registered company like 18866 might do well not to use a credit card for this. Perhaps better to open another current account with your bank (without an overdraft), keep a small amount in it to pay 18866, and give authority for 18866 to use your debit card on that account, always ensuring there is enough to pay your bill.0

I have used 18866 for a year and am quite happy with the service of this company and consider the small risk of using a credit card continuous authority with them a risk worth taking.0 -
