then stop posting..... making this a row about knowing each other's MSE ids is a bad plan. it could end up making you look snide. right now, she's being pretty badly behaved - don't stoop to her level or you could end up making yourself look worse. an anonymous internet forum is not the best way to have pointed family arguements......

True does she know your forum name and is now following your thread? Oh hello:wave:

If she hasn't told your parents either, they probably wanted a completely stress free wedding with just friends or witnesses. That's their choice and I hope they get it despite all this drama.
  • if you actually want to give me constructive criticism then by all means, i've actually put this on here to get other peoples opinions on how i should feel not how i should be acting
i'm just suggesting that posting this thread so that your sister can read it and pretty quickly work out it's about her is a really bad way to deal with this....... i can't see how approaching the situation in this way is going to anything other than make a bad situation worse. you're trying to get strangers to take your side so that your sister can read about how awful she is. that doesn't fill me with sympathy for your situation. this really isn't the best way to deal with family conflict.

sorry maybe i haven't explained properly. My parents don't know yet. I've actually told them. But i agree that I'm not sure how we can come back from this

You're so lovely ... not!! Glad you're not my sister.

Why don't you go the whole hog and completely spoil her day by I dunno - go and tell her parents in law to be too, just so that's ruined too

You're behaving like a totally spoilt brat - it's her wedding, not yours and your're not wanted - woman up to it, or lose her forever.

registry office and thank you for being one of the only ones who actually wants to find out the actual situation rather than asuming things
adding more identifiable details about their wedding isn't going to help! it just allows everyone to go to the weddings board and try to find the thread that gave it away.

Uhm, I am not going to be involved in this one, was advising in good faith, I agree with you melancholly all of the above, it is not the best way, talk to your sis, get off the thread and go into hers or PM her or pick up the phone, it would be terrible if you say something you regret later or she says something on her thread that send you in a rage, keep it clean ladies, keep it clean:D

I don't expert her to realise who i am otherwise I wouldn't have posted it, that wasn't my intention.
Sorry, but I don't believe you. I'd suggest you get a grip and let your sister get on with her life (which is far too short for all this petty squabbling).

she's not on here at the moment as as there's hundreds of thousands of members then I don't expert her to realise who i am otherwise I wouldn't have posted it, that wasn't my intention. My intention simply was to find out other peoples point of view on my situation, not for people to take my side, simply to understand

Which we do, we do but melancholly has a point:D

  • have i put their names, their sons name, where I am or who I am? no then I think it'd be pretty coincidental that she found me on here, you do the maths from how many members there are and how many threads
well you've posted on two boards for maximum impact/sympathy. i'm stepping away now as i've suggested you back away in good faith as i think your approach can only make matters worse. if you want to continue, go ahead, but i would sit back and decide whether or not this is a good plan. i understand that you're upset, really i do, but throwing all the toys out of the pram and into her face isn't really the best plan.
