"Dear Affiliate
***New AOL Offers starting on the 15th January 2007***
AOL will be making some changes to our broadband packages on January 15th which will help you get even more from the program.
We are doubling the speed on our Silver broadband package to 2Mb from 15th Jan 07, the price stays the same at £14.99. We will continue to offer 1 month free (if ordered online), plus a FREE wireless router worth £55.
We have a NEW Platinum switcher offer: if customers switch to Platinum they will save £5 per month (£24.99 instead of £29.99) and get 1 month free (online and offline), plus a FREE wireless router worth £55.
Lastly, as a result of us increasing the speed of our Silver package we will be removing our Gold package. Please ensure all reference and copy on your site regarding all the AOL products is changed on January 15th, including the removal of AOL Gold

Many Thanks

I've just spoken with a very nice chap at AOL customer services who offered me the silver package at £9.99 per month for as long as I'm with AOL. I have had to opt into another 12 month package which wasn't really a problem and I have it in writing that the price will remain at £9.99 at the end of the new contract. I tried for the wireless router but he wouldn't agree to that.
A big thanks to all those who posted on here that they were getting AOL Silver at £9.99, that's another £8 a month I've saved.

Can someone tell me if the FUP will be based on the time of day such as tiscali(6am-11pm). If so, what the 'Peak' and 'Off-Peak times will be set to ?
Or am I mistaken and the FUP takes precedance all day?0 -

I am not sure about other isps, but i know when i took the 9.99 offer it was on condition that i stayed for a furth 12 months.
Sounds like aol is getting a bit tight with the routers, maybe because it is being sold to carphone perhaps.nidje wrote:I've just spoken with a very nice chap at AOL customer services who offered me the silver package at £9.99 per month for as long as I'm with AOL. I wish to Thank to Allan and Nidje for their inputs.
I spoke to AOL couple of days ago. I was told that the £9.99 deal was available but as the system was down I had call back another time.
I spoke with AOL today and spoke to a rep. I told them to get me a Supervisor. The Sup. told me that the promo FINISHED on 15th Jan. I created a stink and said that as I already was promised this deal but since the system was down they should give me this deal.
He finally agreed £9.99 deal for next 12 months.
So I urge you to give this a try.0 -
Help, they won't allow me to terminate my contract - month 9 of 12 because of the new terms and conditions - it says everyone will have agreed to them if the continue to use aol after 1/2/07, i don't agree to this. I tried to phone up and cancel as a result but keep getting told they won't apply to me until my contract us up 11/3/07 - which would be fair enough - however they will NOT send this out to me by mail or FAX (so it is legally binding).
I really want to cancel now as i feel as if i have had a bad deal from aol and if i can get out of this contract early then the better it would be.
Does anyone know where i stand on this.
Just for the record - i'm paying £15.99 per month for aol silver at 512k - they say they can't increase the speed - however other providers are offering me 4mb - which i know is about right for this area juging by the few people in my street who already recieve this0
