Hi
A quick update.........
I got a letter from the Halifax on Saturday asking me to call them - which I have just done. I'm looking for info for 3 accounts, one is active, one is enquiry only and the other closed.
They were having problems tracking down the details of the closed account as once closed the Halifax can only track it via the roll number...
ie D/123456
so.......... it might be worth people putting roll numbers along with account numbers when requesting statements..... it might speed up the process. He also said that statements would be with me by the beginning of next week at the latest... (perhaps the Information office have kicked them up the proverbial?)
And if anyone wants the number of the Data access request team at the Halifax its 01977 627144
BUT I DIDN'T TELL YOU THAT DID I!!!!;)

Hello Everyone
First post ever !
I used the letter template on here to request a list of my default charges from the Nationwide Blg Soc.
Took it into the branch and have a receipt for the 10.00 fee - receipt dated 6 march 2007.
Heard not a jot - i rang the branch on day 43 was told someone would contact me - Saturday lunch time 21 April the branch rang me to tell me that they had passed the issue onto head office and they will be in touch.
Any pointers would be great.
Thank you0 -

You could try phoning your bank or even writing to the giving them another 7 days, If you go to the data protection site theres a form you can download to report them to the ICO for non compliance of a SAR request.Bewitched2761

Unfortunately all you can do is wait but dont hold your breath. The banks are inundated with requests for data as are the ICO with complaints at the delays. I wish I could be more positive but matters are in others hands right now and there isnt anything more you can do for the moment sorry0 -
I am attempting to reclaim bank charges on my daughter's behalf. Sent 1st letter requesting detailed charges inclusive of £10, had the standard reply stating they would forward statements for 6 years. Losing track of time I eventually realised that the 40 days had long expired with nothing from Barclays. Tried phoning with no joy as the line to the complaints department is constantly buys (surprise! surprise!) so sent letter, as per template, giving them 7 days to reply or would seek Court Order. This was sent on 11th April, and still no reply. I understand that I can contact the Information Commisioner but how do I go about this? Clicking on links I've seen for them on this and other sites doesn't really give me any idea regards writing or phoning them.
What do I do now? Can anyone help please?0
