Stripper Opinions - but fear I may regret it.

In regards to the OPs situation - I think that Roxie's comment "turn my stomach" when talking about strippers/seeing stripers is overly dramatic and that it was blown out of proportion due to underlying problems in the relationship.

I agree with this totally.
If you read the last part in OP's first post there are obviously other issues involved and I wonder if the stripper thing is just the last straw."Opportunity only knocks once.It doesnt knock, knock again, then leave a note asking you to give it a call back when you've got your s*** together".John Connolly0 -

My mate was very excited to have a "naked butler" for her hen party... was then very disappointed as he was about 5 foot tall, she's closer to 6 feet and although we could see his bum we couldn't see the front... to add insult to injury I ended up making pretty much all the cocktails because he couldn't keep up with the girls drinking... So mates henparty, I'm in the kitchen and a rather exhausted, but well defined 20 something year old bloke in a little loincloth/pinny is running back and forth with full and empty glasses... Read my post after this one please..
It is possible, lets not be naive..
Stripclub on it's own is not an issue for me, that comment is not an issue for me, but "nail a striper" when we go out to stripclub tomorrow is different kettle of fish.
The stripclub might be of a type that don't allow it, however that doesn't change the fact that the man had the incline to do it.
I hope I explained myself better.
P.S.:I had not seen the context of the comment, it might have been exaggerated, but the way OP says it was written - it would be an issue for me.0 -
:rotfl: well i see his point!

Oh, reminds me of a friend's hen do. It was at her house and started with an Ann Summers party, then a stripper showed up.
He should've kept his clothes on! Nice guy, but didn't have the figure to be stripping for a living, sorry. Oh, and God, thongs.......no, no, no, and no! I know some people like them, but I hate the things!
Was bl00dy funny when my mate's, much older, next door neighbour tried to steal one of his big dildo's (he used a number of dildo's as props - and no, not for their original purpose before anyone has a heart attack). She took it and tried to hide it in the garden, but the stripper wouldn't leave until it was returned! :rotfl:I was sober that night too as I was driving.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
What's all this about being "normal"? Everybodies idea is different, I don't think being naked with friends is normal at all, my next door neighbour might think differently, we are both normal people though!
I don't consider a naked body to always be pornographic, it depends entirely on the context. I would not like some beefcake dancing with my wife, and neither would I watch a live stripper. We both do watch !!!!!! together though, there has to be mutual respect in a relationship and when it comes to these kind of things, both partners have to comfortable.0 -

I kind of feel the same.
I like the dance part, you know the entertaining part, but I do not find anything exciting about seeing "it". I do enjoy the rest, the sixpack and the arms.. but not IT. However I am not physically excited if you know what I mean?
But then even when looking at ladies pictures I do not find the main part exciting or pretty. I can find breasts pretty though. But again, not physically excited..
I think I am kinda trying to say that I take show what it is - a show and not always see nakidness as a sexual feature.0 -
Anyone else getting flashbacks to that Friends episode where they hire in Danny DeVito as the stripper for Phoebe's hen party?
On a serious note though, I can understand why the OP is upset about it, especially with the other things that/are have been going on in their relationship. I'm not sure who made the comment about it being the straw that broke the camel's back, but I agree with that. I also dislike the secretiveness of it all and am kind of thinking, "If he was that bothered about keeping it secret, why wouldn't he take the two seconds to log out/shut the page down?" (Although there is a part of me that thinks maybe the OP's OH thinks that stag dos 'should' involve strippers for some reason and is therefore suggesting it because he thinks it's the done thing, regardless what the groom wants...)
Personally I'm kind of in the middle - my boyfriend has been to strip clubs in the past for 21st birthdays, stag dos etc, and whilst I don't like the fact that he's been to these places (although he himself has said that the women were not that attractive) I'm OK with him going as a very occasional thing, provided all he does is watch what's going on the stage. If he was getting private dances and/or it became a regular thing I'd have very different thoughts on the matter because I think it would make me worry that I wasn't 'enough', if that makes sense.
The 'nail some strippers' remark would upset me though, because it would cross the boundaries of what I see as OK, as well as the actual expression of wanting to sleep with someone other than me (which in my view is different to finding them attractive)."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -

I don't like the physique of most male strippers though. They are too 'built up' for my liking. I still like a sixpack, just not overly done, if that makes sense.
I think ladies bodies are often prettier to look at, mainly thanks to our natural curves, and breasts. Like you though, the main part isn't pretty at all IMO.
I like Burlesque. That is much sexier and more classy IMO. It really shows off how beautiful the human body is.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
It depends on what context the 'nail some strippers' comment was made in.
It could've been 'You gonna nail some strippers mate? hahahahaha'. In which case, I would read that as a joke, or at worst, that his friend would be the one to act inappropriately. Or, it could've been 'I'm really up for nailing some strippers! How about you?'. In which case, I would have some serious issues as I can not see how that could just be 'banter'.
We don't know the context, so it is unfair to judge the OP's OH without the full info, or indeed his version. However, what I will say is that b'ggering off down the pub, rather than talk it through, will only serve to make the issue worse.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Just one observation - the OP says her OH has her passwords for Facebook etc. What about for this site? Wouldn't it be better to let him see what you are saying about your relationship and see how he feels about that??0
