Stripper Opinions - but fear I may regret it.

My o/h went to a stripclub for a friends stag do, he told me about it before hand and afterwards (didnt go into detail) most of his friends who also went would not tell there other half as the girls would not like it. We dont have any secrets and we are both open and honest. I would not go and see male strippers as i dont find the big buff look attractive. We both notice good looking people when we are out and about but trust each other.
This is completley different to my marriage where my husband kept secrets all the time and i didnt trust him about anything but if i did bring anything up he would storm out down the pub and come home hours later.
O/p i agree this is your issue but as you are married it has become your husbands too and he should be there to try to work the problem out.0 -
I wouldn't have a problem with my Mrs going to a strip club to watch a bunch of oversized lads get it out and swing it round, just as she wouldn't be bothered if I watched a load of oversized young ladies doing it. It seems to be about trust to me, not strippers.
Funnily enough, neither of us care for strippersIt's all a bit fake and not at all real isn't it, boring tbh. I do like boobies though, just in case you think I'm not a proper bloke or something.
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

Protected from what? The eyes of my friends?! Or the eyes of the people in the changing rooms at the gym? My god! What will they do? Do they have eyes that shoot fire on sight of a bit of flesh?Torry_Quine wrote: »We have complete trust in our relationship and have no need for anyone outside such as strippers.

So you object to gambling, smoking, any 18 films ... Anything else? You are coming across as very narrowminded, and need to be careful not to put that on your children.
I object to gambling on religious grounds. I don;t object to all 18 films, but I feel the classifications are too relaxed when it comes to sex and violence. And I think smoking is widely accepted to be damaging to health and as such it's not a great leap to come to the conclusion that it should be banned, in the same way many other drugs are.
I'm not narrowminded, I just don;t share your views on things. I'm not against nudity, I'm against the pornification of society as a whole, the objectification of women, and what that is doing to our children and, as a result, society.
It's a discussion for a different thread IMO, as it's way off the OP.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

There are certain parts of our body ( and we all know what they are) that are special and should be treated as such. It's not that it may necessarily inflame others but that these areas are worthy of our respect.

Says who? Seriously. In a changing room of all places? Have you never been on holiday with friends? Having such an unhealthy body image doesn't bode well for you.
In any case you were all for flaunting your foof at any doctor that walked passed you yesterday!0 -

I don't use communal changing rooms and have never changed in the same room as a friend when in any situation, if that makes you think I have an unhealthy body-image that's your take on the situation.
I don't know this term 'foof' but it is ridiculous to say I undress for any doctor and you know that full well.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

Many years ago I went to see the Chippendales.
I hope they couldn't see me from the stage because I couldn't stop laughing. Especially where one performer was playing around with this huge banana and it sort of went 'splut' at the end. Tears of laughter were rolling down my face.
OP - it's not about the strippers, I think, it's about trust and respect. I don't know what to suggest, but I think if you focus on the cause and not the symptoms it may help.
I hope it all works out for you.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -

You used the word 'flaunt'. Perhaps you should pick your barbs more carefully if you don't want them turned back on you?;)
I actually feel sorry for you, especially with your strong reaction when the mere thought of someone else seeing their friend naked.:(0 -

As I said before,OK maybe that is the wrong phrase to use. I just meant that other than my OH I would only show my naked body to someone medically.
You really don't need to feel sorry for me in any way I just was unaware that some people cosider it normal to behave like this in front of othersLost my soulmate so life is empty.
