If your sort code starts 11, you have a Halifax account anyway.

Thanks. That's what I thought. It is a little confusing since I use BOS's website to view the account and all correspondence comes with BOS's logos, but the account has Halifax in the title and has a Halifax sort code.

Is there anyway to take money out of this ISA without another Halifax account?

    Phone them.

Although opening a Web Saver Reward is free, easier and quicker!

Has anyone used this yet? Do they just go ahead and change your account or are there additional steps after you fill the form in?

Is there a Bank of Scotland version of this site or can I use the Halifax one?

I used it, my ISA now says ISA Direct Reward 4 and shows the updated rate :)

Having opened ISA 3 in December by transferring in older ISAs, and upgraded it to ISA 4 as soon as it became available, I have requested 2 more transfers in of funds from 10/11 (Principality) and 09/10 (Clydesdale). I also intend to pay in this years allowance.

The funds from Clydesdale arrived today, but now my remaining allowance is almost zero. How long will it take before these funds are recognised as previous years?

And what would happen were I to try to deposit this years allownce immediately?

Just changed my Reward ISA to the new Reward 4 over the phone no problems & also topped up, seemed to go stright forward, the girl on the end of the phone told me i would start getting the 3.20% striaght away
  • Well, I can only look in envy at all you people that have got your Isa Direct reward 4.

I filled in the form in a branch on 28th Feb.

Since that date nearly 6 weeks ago I have had no paper work and my Isa is still showing as Reward 3.

I have phoned on several occasions, each time being fobbed off with promises of it happening "next week".

Last weekend I finally 'phoned the complaints number and was told categorically that taking this long for the redesignation is unnacceptable and that I would be getting £20 compensation and that the Isa would be sorted out in the next few days.

Well suprise suprise, nothing has happened, and when I rang again yesterday I was told that every time I query the Isa is goes to the back of the queue!!! Was also told there has been an enormous backlog and that I may need to wait another week or two.

This has really got beyond a joke now, and I feel completely powerless to do anything. I might write a letter of complaint if I can muster up the energy. What a complete fiasco.

Has anyone else out there had is as bad a this?

Yay, I've finally got an ISA Direct Reward 4. My 79p interest was subject to a -79p correction. I assume this will be recalculated at 3% sometime in the future?

Definitely write to them. I had no success complaining by phone, but my letter of complaint got me a phone call a week later with an apology, £25 compensation and I'm told the backdated interest will be in my account on Monday. The woman who phoned gave me her name and direct number so I can follow it up if it's not there. If I were you, I would be asking them to make sure the interest is backdated to when you filled in the form.
  • Thanks Svenena.
I've written a letter of complaint and will post it tomorrow. They'd damned better not dare ignore it this time, as I've really had enough now.
Is there anyone else left waiting for their redesignation apart from me?

I'll be very interested to hear if yours actually gets sorted on Monday. let us know.
