My dh also opened the Direct Reward 4, we both transfered in funds from Santander. My dh has had an interest adjustment on his account and I haven't. I thought they did this from the date they received the transfer request.
Has anyone transfered in funds, if so have you had an interest adjustment applied to the account?
Thanks
Emerald, the number I rang was 08457 253519,which I got by googling 'Halifax complaints'.
It seems to be their telephone banking number,so I keyed in my Isa account number and sort code, then waited to speak to a real person. When I finally got through, the chap said it was the complaints number and was very helpfull, and said it was ridiculous that I had been waiting 5 weeks for the Isa to change to the reward 4.
He said he would be monitoring it personally untill it was done and I would get £20 compensation going into my current account within a few days.
This was on Sunday, and so far nothing whatsoever has happened, but I guess I will have to just wait a bit longer.
I must say that although the twenty quid will ease the pain of the 'phone calls I have had to make, it's seems little enough compensation for the damn nuisance this has caused me for the past 5 weeks.
I would like to pay in my 2011 allowance soon, but I don't feel I can untill this is sorted out.0 -

At present volumes of ISA transfers in are high. The mix of decent rate, ISA Promise and tax year end is putting pressure on the team that manages ISA transfers. They're apparently handling it pretty well, but are excetionally busy.
The priority is to ensure transfers in are processed first. The interest adjustment due under the ISA Promise requires a manual calculation and I'm told a decision has been made to delay this work a week or two to ensure resources are primarily focused on getting the ISA itself transferred across. The interest calculations will be done as transfer volumes start to reduce a little over the next few days. When it does appear, it will show as "interest adjustment" online.
It seems like a sensible way to approach things.0 -
Here is a very useful link for anyone with an existing Halifax ISA who is interested in transferring to their ISA Direct Reward 4 and does not want to wait on the phones for a long time.
www.halifax.co.uk/isaupgrade
simply fill in your details and they will upgrade if for you0 -

Can you transfer in online or is it only done in branch? I've just hastily set one up as I read it was closing today, so got in with a few minutes spare, but see nothing online to actually do anything with the account bar view itI know about transferring new monies, but nothing about transferring old ISAs. TIA. (it's late so it might be a trees for the woods issue)

To transfer in an ISA from another provider you have to download and complete a Transfer Form, then hand it in at a branch or post it to them.
You can also go to a branch and let them do it all.0 -
is it better then Barclays 3.25%?0

My story:
Phoned 28th February
Wrote letter 17th March
Complaint letter last week
Final response to complaint last week saying upgrade would be done asap plus £25 goodwill gesture
My ISA Direct 3 is now a ISA Saver. I just received 79p interest, when I was expecting nearly £24. So I assume I'll be getting another "Interest Adjustment" when the interest is backdated!0 -
Can anyone confirm if the account number stays the same if you go from isue3-> issue 4.
I need to know to see if I need to change my BACS details and I can't find my old paperwork.
