Welcome Sexki11en! Congratulations!! You have found out early - just 3 weeks! You wait, the next nine till your scan will drrraaaaaagggg!

I had another go with my doppler today with a new battery in, and it's working but couldn;t find heartbeat :( OH thinks I'm worrying over nothing as I am so sick and worn out, but I can;t help but be scared. Don;t think my Gp will listen for the HB at this stage as they say it's too early (which I know should reassure me about me knot being able to find it). I can find the placenta, but can that still work with baby dead? Oh *&*%* I just can;t stop worrying now.

Skintchick- this is one of the reasons that the professionals recommend not getting a home doppler, or at least waiting till quite far on- it can be REALLY hard hearing heart beat, and the natural assumption is to panic when you cant! DH bought me mine at about 9 weeks, and i whilst i could hear placenta/blood vessels around about then, it wasnt till at least 16 weeks that i actually found the heart beat even once for a few seconds. I wasnt too worried before that, as i know it is hard to find, and i do have some extra padding on my belly that didnt help! Even my MW wouldnt check for HB till my 24 week check, as she said it is too unreliable, and not finding it means they have to investigate even though its quite normal to sometimes not find it!

Edited to say: I can see why you might worry more than some people though, its natural given all you have been through. Easier said than done, but try to stay positive, and your scan will swing around soon for some reassurance. My BFF had two missed m/c before falling this time, and she is due in about 5 weeks now, so it can all work out. Big hugs and PMA

I know Kira, but I did hear it a few days ago and now I can;t find it, that's what's worrying me. My MW won;t try till 16 weeks, but I expect to be feeling movement by then as this is child 2 (felt it at 19 weeks with DD) so I won;t be too bothered by then!

Scan is two weeks tomorrow and it feels so far away. I just don;t know what I'd do if we lost this baby. I don't know if I could go through this again. I have a friend who lost five babies before having her son and I just don't know how she carried on.

Hi ladies, can I join too please? Just moving from the TTC 7 thread, and the ladies were so lovely on there I thought I'd come and say hi :) I recognise moneysaver and skintchick!

Got our BFP yesterday, 3 bright blue positive tests! Think I'm about 4weeks-ish, but don't really know, first day of last period was 25th Sep........got docs app on Thursday! Still in shock I think.....will be our first, and I'm a tad scared.......

Feeling a bit weird, like I'm nervous, belly's all in butterflies! And seem to be starving all the time.....plus belly has got huge all of a sudden, like its come from nowhere! Its all very strange at the moment but I guess thats normal!

Look forward to chatting with you all!!

    J xx

SK, congratulations! It is scary, I should be 6w+4, and still keep worrying that I am only imagining all this. I have a scan on Friday, so I am eagerly looking forward to that - excited and scared.

I am off food again, don't really want to eat much. Today was the first day I've felt some pain around my nipples. And I am still tired.

OH bought mean iPad for my birthday, so I am playing with that. Can anyone recommend a good app for pregnancy and following the baby's development?

    Off to sleep...

I'd try not to worry too much hun (difficult I know) my midwife couldn't find baby's heartbeat at all on friday and I'm 13 weeks. All was ok when they scanned me instead though. Apparently they wouldn't normally even attempt to listen with a doppler until 16 weeks and as they do it all the time they're more likely to find them more easily than you doing it yourself.

I have the My Pregnancy app by babycentre, I think its really good as you get a little snippet every day, you can see a weekly update of whats new with the baby, and there are videos built in too. I have it on Android but I'd be suprised if it's not available for apple too.

Bp has been rising for the last week or so, today I'm at 135/108, so I think a call to the docs tomorrow is in order. I had high blood pressure from when I was 17 to 25, but it started going low last year, so I came off the tablets, and it stayed below average on its own. I don't get why as soon as I fall pregnant its gone through the roof again. I should never have googled regarding the impact of high blood pressure in pregnancy as it has scared me senseless that the blood vessels and placenta won't form correctly and the baby won't be healthy.

Nausea still here although have largely avoided being sick. Definately worst mornings and early evenings, today the baby has decided the smell of melted cheese is enough to set me off, so thats now banned.

Hello everyone! 2 weeks countdown till our scans, skintchick! yay!

i've been looking at pictures of bumps today (especially plus sized bumps). i'm a size 18 and i'm scared i won't show until i'm close to giving birth!
I can feel the bump, my husband can feel it too, but unfortunately it is hidden! i'm not embracing the "showing off" of the belly yet either although a lot of people know i'm pregnant i still feel very self-conscious about it. i'm hoping it will "pop" out at some point and i will definitely look pregnant rather than just fat. a few people told me i am showing a bit and i haven't put on any weight since i found out

anyhow! nearly 12 weeks but i shall be staying with you ladies until i have my scan (nearly 14 weeks - boo!)

gin - i use babybump and i love the daily and the weekly information - it's also free. My pregnancy today by BabyCenter is very useful - and also free! i suggest putting pregnancy in the app center and download all the free ones - and if you particularly like one app you could buy the full version!

Alizee - I have a friend who is very large, not sure of her size though.

Anyway, I never thought she had a bump! Might be because she is a wheelchair user so I only ever saw her sitting down, but maybe some larger ladies don;t get a bump? Would be very disappointing though.
