Had my scan this morning, it was amazing Well worth the wait. Baby was wriggling around and stretching lots and has been measured at 13 + 1 so I am 6 days ahead of where I thought! Off to the other thread now but will be checking up on you all. All the best xx

Lovely to hear about the successful scans

I had a go with my Angelsounds doppler today. Think something is wrong with it but very briefly managed to catch the heartbeat galloping away, which was lovely and reassuring.

Just wish the thing was working right! It keeps cutting out Will try a new battery as that one's been in there since 2008 :eek: but think it might be something more serious and can't afford another one.

How is everyone today? I am very very tired. It was a long day yesterday, but I did get to bed by 9pm (even if OH called me at 9.40!).

I am so tired, that I think I might fall asleep in front of computer - better don't as I am the client's office today! Hope for an early noght tonight. OH is back tonight, but out again tomorrow very early. I have to wait or Autoglass to come and replace the windscreen tomorrow during the day before I can go out anywheere (stone chip on the motorway, that developed into growing crack by the time I reached home - and it is still increasing), as OH will be using my car to get to the airport. So I m planing lazy morning/early afternoon on the sofa, depending when they will come.

i'm in the opposite situation ginvzt. i can't sleep. i've been trying to for the past 2 hours and i am still wide awake. i have work tomorrow at 7. not fun

Had GP appointment - he was so pleased for me, it was really lovely
Got my booking in appointment with midwife - Tuesday 1st so only 10 days away...is it silly to be very excited about it?!

Ailzee I know how you feel - have had so little sleep this past week. Last night I finally fell asleep abou 11.30pm, woke up at 2am, awake til 4am and then drifted in and out of light sleep until 6.30am

Have a lovely weekend everyone - I'm doing bit of shopping this afternoon and then X Factor tonight

9 weeks, how on earth did that happen?! Can't believe it! Got our scan date through, its 14th November - nice early one as well so no anxious waiting all day. Sickness still hasn't really gone away, threw up this afternoon which was lovely, poor hubby! He was rubbing my back and generally being lovely, he's been fab so far, especially when I've been napping as soon as I get home from work and not really being up to much in the evenings!

Still can't believe we've reached 9 weeks, I was convinced something would have happened by this point! xx

Hi i am coming from the trying to get pregnant thread. I found out on tuesday that i am pregnant. I think i am 5 weeks and one day now, due in June. This will be my second. I have a little boy who is nearly 13 months old. I am excited. Also Am a bit anxious as when i was pregnant with my little boy i started bleeding when i was 10 weeks pregnant, which was scary. We haven't told anyone yet. We are going to wait until the first scan.

Is the first scan normally at 12 weeks, i ask as due to the bleeding i had my dating scan at 10 weeks.

Hi moneysaver, and congratulations!

Yes, your first scan will be around 12 or 13 weeks, unless you bleed, in which case you will get an emergency scan, but they don;t give you early scans unless you have a massive history of loss, I believe. I've lost two babies in early pregnancy but I don;t get any extra scans, and my friend who lost five babies didn;t get any either.

You can pay for a private scan, they are upwards of £70. Best to have one around 7 or 8 weeks to get thhe heartbeat and a good look at blob


I am 10 and a half weeks! Woop woop! Can;t believe it. Sooooo tired, soooo sick, soooo want my scan! Two weeks to go and counting.

I do worry things aren;t OK, but I'm going to have a go with the doppler again tonight now I've got a new battery for it. Heard the placenta the other day but it stopped working before I could track the heartbeat down. My big fear is it dying and me not knowing, like last time. I just have to trust and pray, I guess.

Hi guys can I join please? Found out last saturday not sure how far gone I am but think it's about 6-7 weeks, feel a bit poo tonight and keep getting weird pains which is a bit scary. Couldn't get my first midwife appointment til the 10th nov, that was the earliest they could get me in. what will happen it's been so long I can't remember ds is nearly 6! Can you opt for a cs? Had one before and think I would prefer one again.
