Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! 2

I went to see my GP this morning and they have referred me to the hospital so they will be in touch to arrange my next appointments/scans etc.

This is very weird,. I'm happy, scared, overwhelmed, worried and happy all in one!! I feel like I will burst if I dont tell someone!

I had my booking appointment last week - The midwife was lovely and beyond helpful.

I explained my concerns as I had a MC a few years ago and when scanned at the time nothing could be found, however the "conception material" seemed to be somewhere inside me and the pregnancy hormone levels kept increasing. They thought it may have been an ectopic pregnancy, but no surgery was required as the hormone levels eventually started to reduce after a week or so. Very upsetting episode.

When I explained this to the midwife last week, she quickly grabbed a scanner and said "i'm not supposed to do this", but quickly gave me a scan. It really was the best relief in the world to know that the heart was beating and that the pregnancy was in the correct place. God love her for doing that for me:T

After that good news, I am really annoyed at myself for my lack of get up and go. I have sea-sick like nausea every day and I think my OH is getting empathy fatigue already! I also keep zoning out and falling asleep. Is anyone else like this? Also, sometimes I cry or laugh irrationally at the TV and I have caught OH looking at me as if I have taken leave of my senses. Luckily I have been working from home so no-one else has witnessed my unravelling! I fear for my sanity!:o

Here's hoping that these symptoms will magically disappear at the 12 week stage.....

GtotheC i am exactly the same hun, especially the tired and sick bit. i am constantly hungry but know full well its going to come back up, and i am so tired all the time, i keep finding time to go for a sleep just so i am not psychosuper!!!!! with the kids.

6 days until i am officially safe. and i have been remembering to take the meds the consultant gave me, i do need to order some more from the doctor tho because the pharmacist refused to give me any over the counter.

Hi ladies. Not sure if you've noticed I've been missing but I'm back now! But what a few days we've had!!! On Thursday I got the most awful phonecall ever from the hospital telling me that the result of our downs syndrome screening test was high risk at 1 in 10!!!!! Bearing in mind that 1 in 150 is classed as the start of the high risk group then we were VERY high!!! Anyway after discussing it with the midwife we opted to go to sheffied hospital for CVS testing. We had that done yesterday and finally got a call at tea time to tell us its good news and all is ok with baby!!!! Theres still an extra test they do that has a 2% chance of showing up a result that they didn't pick up today and there's also a 1-2% miscarriage risk so I've to take it easy but hopefully thats us out of the woods now and able to actually enjoy this pregnancy and get excited!!! Its been such a tough time up till now with the problems I had earlier on too so fingers crossed it can only get better!!

I'll have a read back now and check you've all been keeping ok and then I guess I'd better think about moving over to the 12-24 weeks thread seeing as I'm 12+4 now!

Hey Lisa I thought you'd moved to the other thread, nice to see you and although you've had a shocking time glad all is well, these things are sent to try us and my goodness they're trying! All being well I'll see you on the other thread soon x

Laura, congrats on 12 weeks, I think I'm 12+1 now and scan next Monday, hope yours is amazing x

Still losing weight, no sickness but I get full so quickly and still fancy all the unhealthy things!delivering training all day tomorrow back is killing at the thought of it, wierdly though having LO with me feels less lonely as I'm away from home, its an amazing feeling!

Updated list with my details!! I hope to get my scan date out in the post this week!! I had 3 early scans already (WK 6, 7 & 8) due to previous Ectopic pregnancy - so hoping to reach the 12 week milestone - so I can make my announcements!
