Now I can do some proper work. Hope we're all feeling good today - I've started talking to bean now which is pretty silly but helps me through the stress. Doctors on Wed was pretty quick... just updated my mobile number and signed me to midwife so now just waiting for call. Hopefully I'll get scan date soon as we're trying to go on holiday around the same time and can't book till we know.

Also welcome to any newbies... its all going really fast here 7+5 already!

Hi, I haven't joined any baby forums yet but I have been trying to conceive since Sept last year.

This morning I got my very first positive pregnancy test. I don't think it's quite sunk in yet. I feel the need to do another one to confirm but I am so pleased!!

Thank you. Any particular threads I need to join?
I really was prepared for another negative as I have been having a few period pain type cramps. In fact, even as I did the test I had a few cramps so was expecting the worst. So relieved!

I've had AF type cramps on and off since before I found out I was pg and I'm 12 +1 today so its not always something to worry about.

    Happy Friday Girlies :j

  • Double figures today! 10 weeks exactly! Hubby is so excited. We have started a list of baby names. Only boys as we have a tonne of girls names already.

Very glad it is Friday. My maternity clothes arrived today so looking forward to being able to fit into a dress again.

Hopefully we find out if my husband got the job today. Feeling so damn anxious about it. Can't work out what is MS and what is nerves :rotfl:

Congrats to Sandy on your BFP!

Good luck to your husband re: the job. Everything crossed.

I ordered some black work trousers this morning - bit early I know, but with my bloating my clothes are all so uncomfortable - think my waistband digging in all day at work is making my belly sorer. :(

Debski - I had terrible bloating when I was about 4/5 weeks and didn't like to order any maternity trousers in case of jinxing things so bought a pair of jeans in a size bigger than I normally wear. By week 7 the bloating had totally gone and now the blimmin things are hanging off me!!! I'm actually wearing them today though coz they are the best pair of jeans I own (i.e not ripped and faded like all my others) and am finding I have to keep yanking them up all day. :rotfl:

I finally plucked up the courage to tell work. Then I started telling my friends. On Wednesday night I had strong stabbing pains in my left side, and yesterday I was bleeding.
The out of hours Gyn Ward told me to phone the EPU in the morning.

Well I have been very relaxed and fateful about this pg, but when the EPU where I had my 6wk scan told me they didn't have any records on me and I should phone the other hospital I lost it. Both they and the other hospital kept asking me "are you having your baby here?". All I could keep saying was "I don't know". I haven't even seen a mw yet, and I thought I was supposed to decide for myself? In any case I can't look that far ahead, I just want to know if my bean is alright NOW.
They finally told me to come in to the other hospital on Monday. They don't have any appointments, but they said they would try and squeeze me in.
I'm trying really hard to think positively. I have lost all my faith in the antenatal care system 'though.

Sorry for the long post. Juat venting a bit.

Hope you're all feeling well and looking forward to the week-end.
