The getting it 'back' idea seems the best so far - thanks for that suggestion. I'm not entirely certain it would be kept a confidence :( so I can't go down that route.

    Thanks again

Hi Triangle, just delurking from the 12-24 weeks thread, like to keep an eye on you all!! I guess I must be really lucky. I've had loads of appointments already (not quite 14 weeks) and until I told work after my 'proper' scan at 11+3 I just told them I had medical appointments and they let me go, no questions asked. I work 30 miles away from home/hospital/doctors and the appointments were never at the most convenient times and usually meant I ended up taking the best part of half a day off but no-one minded. I think perhaps they suspected why though!!

Morning Ladies. Well yesterday, my TLP turned into a BFP on a digital test. The result came up in less than 30 seconds!

I called the clinic and have booked my first scan for 14th November when I will be 7 weeks exactly. I'm 4+1 today.

Only symptoms so far are period type cramping (which i'm finding strangely comforting at the moment) slightly sore boobs and raging hunger!

I told work yesterday. They've been hugely supportive whilst I went through my IVF (even promoting me!) and they were all over the moon for us. My workload has been reduced too (!)

Speaking of work - i'd better get going. Have a good day everyone.

Morning. Went to the docs yesterday, bp is now 166/115 so I have an urgent referral to an obstetrician as I also have asthma so medication will be tricky. Really scared my bp being this high is harming the baby.

Kaemi, good luck. I hope all goes well for you.

I am increadibly stressed this morning. This is my first day in our new office, and it took 1h15min from home to the office, including 35min trip on the cramped train. Arrived in the office to find the cables missing.

I was so stressed, that I simply shaking, I wanted to cry (well, did a bit, and now have very bad period type pains, and getting worried that our short journey is coming to the end, which is making me more stressed and weepy. I wish I could just quit this job.

Gin, I've known you for a while now and i'm going to say this for your own good, not because i'm mean.

Pull yourself together! You're strong, I know you are. I've been through pretty much your entire journey to get here with you (even if I was only lurking in the beginning) I understand, I really do even though it didn't take me as long as you to get here.

Missing cables are NOT the end of the world when you're growing a baby. If you don't calm yourself down, you may do yourself some damage.

Now - step back, take a deep breath and look at the bigger picture. You're PREGNANT honey. After SO long of trying, your dream is here. Enjoy it!

We'll do this - together and in 7&8 months respectively, we'll both have our dreams in our arms. All we've ever wanted.

    Chin up chicken.

Thanks, I know I can do it. I just don't want to do this job anymore. There are some very nice people here, but unfortunately, it is a complete mess.

I am crying now. I'll stop. I promise!

Don't make me come over there young lady! :p:rotfl:

I know it's hard honey when your job is rubbish. If you remember, I moved jobs at the beginning of the year for the same reason so I really do remember. But it's just something that will pay the bills. Not worth getting worked up about.

It sounds like a long commute but use that time to relax. Put some relaxing music on your ipod/phone/walkman (do they even still exist?!) or read a book. I used to enjoy that time when I travelled.

Try dabbing lavender on a tissue and keeping the tissue in your bra. Lavender is relaxing and the smell will waft up and hopefully calm you down a bit.

The period type pains are good. It means your bean is growing! I worried this morning as I didn't feel any (and I have for the last week) I think I had one about half an hour ago and mine tend to be in the evening anyway.

You know what? If you don't want to do the job? Start looking for something else. Even that in itself will make you feel better.

Lovecrafting - Thank you for saying that. I thought it came across as really harsh, but i've known Gin (on here) for over 14 months now and I KNOW she's stronger than this. It wasn't meant to be mean lol.

OK - how soon after booking in did people get scan appointments through? My booking was a fortnight ago (was 8 weeks according to dates when I did it to the day) and I'm 10 weeks on Thursday (but I know I'm scanning between 2 and 4 days behind according to measurements) and I've not heard anything yet. It's not an "oh god I need to know there's a baby in there" type moment with having weekly reassurance scans via the EPU, but it's THE milestone we want to get through (so I can start buying adorable little hats with bear ears on!).

Just want this first trimester over and done with so the bulk of the miscarriage terror's out of the way - need to broach the issue of me having potentially a 3 month old baby in tow with the friends getting married next year for whom hubby's meant to be the best man and can't really do that till we're more sure we're getting out of the woods with the risks (think they'll be fine with it, if not, then we'll get a room in the hotel where the wedding is and alternate our presence there/I'll hide out in the room with a stack of trashy DVDs and industrial size box of chocolates cos I hate weddings and small-talk anyway)

Not getting a scan done this week because the miscarriage consultant who does them isn't in, so I SHOULD be a day short of 11 weeks next time I see her again and actually able to see definable stuff rather than the usual pretending you can figure out what each bit is routine - last one was really really hard to see cos I was dying for the loo so my bladder was tooooooo full really! Hope to god it's all going ok in there - 3 weeks of a decent heartbeat bodes well doesn't it?
