Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! 2

Hey all

I am pleased to say I am 4wks today. First pregnancy and all new to me. Not many of my friends or family have been through this at all. I have been lurking on this thread for a little while whilst I considered whether it was too early to post or not (my EDD is 20 June 2012!).

It has been comforting to hear that some of you are feeling the same sort of things I am (sore/swollen breasts, not quite period pains (but weirdly comforting too) and I was really tired a week or two ago, but not quite as bad now). We are also keeping the news quite close at the moment, and it will be nice to be able to "talk" about it (I don't think I will be telling work for quite some time yet!).

I was going to say we're only one day apart (i'm 4+2 today) but my EDD is 2nd July.....

Soooooo, today is official test date (OTD) and i'm still pregnant lol. Did another digital test this morning, just because you know and it said the magical word again. I'm actually starting to believe it - that after 26 months of trying, i'm finally pregnant.

Did I mention the clinic have booked my 7 week scan? 14th November! 2 1/2 weeks and we can see our little IVF miracle(/s)!

AGHHHHHHHHHH, i'm SO excited!!!

But I'd better take my excitement off to work. I must come back later and add myself to the list.

Are you sure you are 4 weeks and not 6? As I am 7 weeks today, and my EDD is June 13th. If you are 4 weeks now, and were tired 2 weeks ago, it is unlikely it was due to potential pregnancy, as that would have been when you conceived! (The clock starts on the first day of you last period - so, by the time you miss your period, you already are 4-5 weeks).

Welcome Lixi! Are you sure you're not 6 weeks? I'm 6 +2 and my EDD is June 18th. You count from the first day of your last period, so absurdly we're 'pregnant' 2 weeks or so before the egg was actually released.

I'm so pleased for you sexki11en, you must be on cloud nine every time that second line shows up.

Morning ladies

I had my booking in appointment yesterday with midwife so this morning it all kind of feels a bit more real I have been classed as 'medium' risk as I had a CS with DS after he got stuck on his way out (so to speak) and also because he measured large at birth (9 6lbs) so I am having shared care between midwife and consultant at hospital. I also have the option of an elective CS this time round and tbh think I will probably go with that, talked it through with OH last night and he agreed that it might be the best option.

Have to wait for scan date to come through post but MW said it will be between 12 and 13 weeks, am 8+4 today so by my figures it should be w/c 14th Nov

Hope everyone is ok and not suffering too much with symptoms :A

12 weeks today! Won't leave until the scan though. Let's hope i made it with no problems

How is everyone doing?

I was reading in my Babycentre email yesterday for 11 weeks, that you can stop taking folic acid at this point because the neural tube has fully developed. Is everyone going to stop taking their tablets after 12 weeks?

I was planning on continuing the Pregnacare throught the pregnancy, because I'm not always sure I'm eating well enough and I like the backup. Is anyone else doing this? I'd not thought twice about it till I read the email.

I was going to keep taking the vitamins throughout. I have Sanatogen at the moment, but I think there are some Pregnacare ones left at home as well. The thing with me is, that even though I understand that the brand doesn't make any difference, I have been taking Pregnacare for 4 years and didn't fall pregnant. I switched to Sanatogen with this cycle and got the BFP. So, I might get another bottle of Sanatogen to keep going for a bit longer, after I finish this one.

Well, i'll keep taking pregnacare when i remember as i have 2 boxes left!!
