Don't make me come over there young lady! :p:rotfl:

It sounds like a long commute but use that time to relax. Put some relaxing music on your ipod/phone/walkman (do they even still exist?!) or read a book. I used to enjoy that time when I travelled.

Oh, you are welcome to come over - I'll offer you a cup of herbal/fruit tea and have some one to put me right!

It is easier said than done to relax on the train, when you barely have space, and that bag is so heavy, that my back hurts after 15 min. (it is a backpack). I have to carry my
year old, 3kg, laptop with me most of the days, and in addition to that - notebooks, papers, etc. I might have to resort to working from home, once we tidy up the study enough for me to access the desk. I really don't want to stay at home all day every day - it is nice to have some company, at least occasionally!

On the good note - I have sold my Clearblue fertility monitor, and got for it more than I paid!!!!! I remember paying something like £59, and someone on ebay decided to pay £64! Ok, I have used sticks, so paid for those, but I am very happy about the return. There will be ebay fees to pay, but person is collecting it, so no need for me to go to the post office, and it is £60+ to the baby fund (ok, Stokke xplory fund - unless we do have twins or OH wants to make me upset and not let me get it)

Yayyy for good news Gin lol. Ohhh, a baby fund! We don't have one of those, it's more a 'oh !!!! we're having a baby, we'd better pay off the credit card, pdq fund' :rotfl:

We are going to go through the house and sell everything we don't need. Like the £400 swimming pool we bought 2 years ago that won't fit in the garden of our new house. And the x trainer that I bought (second hand) and only used twice :o - you know, things like that lol. They'll be used to pay off the credit card, which along with my pay rise will leave us £600 a month better off (after tax) once I start my maternity leave.

We're lucky that we barely need to buy anything. My sister and best friend have had a girl and a boy each and my SIL has had a boy in the time we've been trying so we have most of the essentials covered (plus pink and blue clothes from birth-4 years!)

After 4 years of heartache, 3 rounds of IVF and 1 loss :A - we are finally expecting our miracle Ki11en - May 2014 :j

And a VERY surprise miracle in March 2017!

I had a £2 coin moneypot for a while now, and that is my baby fund - I even instructed OH to put all the £2 coins in it he gets, not that he listens to me. I know I have been 'running' it since before I started this job, which is 3.5 years, and I don't get many £2 coins, but there should about £550, based on the weight of the pot (yes, I am a nerd - I checked the weight of the pot and the weight of the coins, so I can get an approximate amount of money in there based on the weight).

I have started the ebay already - slendertone belt is on (probably used 5 times), one of the tops from Bravissimo, need to sell Nintendo DS, just can't find it at the moment! Will do more going through the stuff, will see what else I find. And I will be putting all in my 'baby fund'.

I have a gorgeous terramundi pot as our piggy bank baby fund - we ordered it in the summer and it has 'miniature person' written on it :) I make DH put as many work tips as possible in there and any change/notes we both have hanging about.

It's so pretty it will almost be a shame to break it...almost!! Hoping for about £500 by May :D Did one for our wedding and over the course of a year had £900 - so it can be done!!

I think after the scan on Friday, if all is ok, I will get a second one - for all the spare change in the house, below £2, and £2 once the current one is filled.

Iwas always told not to mix paper money with the coins in the moneypots - something to do with the paper money getting damaged by coins? But maybe I should ignore the rule...

dizziblonde, round here, after your booking-in you have to wait a week and then phone up for your scan date, but I know some ladies have to wait for a letter to be sent. I prefer being able to phone up cos then you can choose a time from what they have available. Mine is at 12+5 though which feels really late!

Just talked to OH on Skype nag got upset. He complained about my plans to take earlier train to work saying that we won't see each other, as I will have to get up earlier and leave just as he gets up, and I will be going to bed early as well. Well, what he doesn't understand is that otherwise I will be leaving just as he is getting out of the shower and coming home an hour after him, still knackered and stressed, and that would be even quicker way for me to go to bed and probably not being able to sleep after being annoyed of having to travel standing in the train with the heavy laptop bag on the back and bump, fighting for parking space in the morning, and being nauseous for most of the day.

I offered to quit the job and switched of the Skype. He always complained about me leaving earlier than him in the morning - well, he doesn't get stuck on the motorway for hours if he leaves 10 minutes later.

    Sorry for the rant.
