Hi laura, as you can see I'm 8 weeks and not really had ANY symptoms. Apart from feeling a little hungrier, spottier and [STRIKE]lazier [/STRIKE] sleepier!! I've not had ANY morning sickness and am really worried about my scan coming up in just over a couple of weeks - i'm petrified that i too am imagining the whole thing but i suppose everyone is different some ppl get symptoms and other don't.

I've been secretly poas just to make sure i am pregnant as well :)

I was tempted to POAS as well, just to see how many weeks it thinks I am now. Still have one left at home..............
I was reading my what to expect book last night and it seems that the percentage of people that get morning sickness isn't actually that high, I guess we just have to count ourselves as being lucky, though in a strange way it would be reassuring :)

I dont even have my booking appointment date yet! Cant wait till things start happening!!!!!!!!

    12 to 24 weeks thread

    Pregnancy thread

I've taken Icey and Darkphaery off the top of the list as they have had their scans and have graduated to the 12-24 week thread.
Eeeek! That's moved me to five from the top! Still another 3 and a half weeks until I'm at 12 weeks though!

    Hi Ladies,

Just popping over from the 12-24 week thread to say hello! I was just having a catch up (mainly because I'm nosey and like to see how everybody is getting on!) I can't believe we have ladies that are due in May now! That is scary, I'm due the beginning of Feb and I remember posting on here when I was 5 weeks and now I'm nearly 18 weeks gone! Trust me time starts to fly once you've had your scan and you stop counting the days as much, this from the worlds most impatient women as well!!

Thanks for the reassurance Jannine! :D Time is definitely dragging for me at the moment, just want to get the scan out the way so I can relax and tell people properly. :)

I know exactly how you feel, but you will get there really soon! Then time starts to fly and you will (like me) probably start to panic and wish it would slow down! I can't believe I'm nearly half way through my pregnancy - scary stuff!

I've just noticed that your 12 week scan is the same day as my 20 week scan in September emsbet! Sooo glad I won't have to have a full bladder this time, that was bloomin umcomfortable! Never have I been so pleased to get to the loo, I couldn't get my knickers down quick enough!!! :rotfl:

I think I've noticed that before as I may have had a peak or two at the 12-24 week thread :o

I've already had a scan at 6 weeks which I needed to have a full bladder for but (as I already found out when I had a scan after my mc) I have a retroverted (tilted) uterus so I had to go empty my bladder for an internal scan. I'm guessing, depending on how much my uterus has moved forward at that stage, I may have to have another internal at the 12 week scan.

I had an earlier scan also at 8 weeks, my uterus was tilted and I had to have an internal. At my 12 week scan, my uterus was still tilted and my stomach was full of gas (nice!) so had another internal. It was fine though and the pictures are so much clearer than my sister's who had a normal ultrasound at 12 weeks a year ago. On my pics you can clearly see fingers, eyes sockets and lips! It doesn't really matter though as long as they get a proper look at baby and see that everything is ok.

Plus if you have an internal you get to empty that bladder sooner!
