Nicki, I hope your spotting eases up soon and it's just like it was in your previous pregnancies - still, having had it before doesn't make it any more reassuring, I'm sure *hugs*I've been secretly poas just to make sure i am pregnant as well
Me too - I did my second digi last night (because I had it, and I was in the bathroom and it seemed like a good idea...). Said Pregnant 3+ weeks - which is a good thing!Sooo glad I won't have to have a full bladder this time, that was bloomin umcomfortable! Never have I been so pleased to get to the loo, I couldn't get my knickers down quick enough!!! :rotfl:
I'm still super confused - my scan letter said that I don't need a full bladder. Does that mean it's likely to be an internal one?

I had an earlier scan also at 8 weeks, my uterus was tilted and I had to have an internal. At my 12 week scan, my uterus was still tilted and my stomach was full of gas (nice!) so had another internal. It was fine though and the pictures are so much clearer than my sister's who had a normal ultrasound at 12 weeks a year ago. On my pics you can clearly see fingers, eyes sockets and lips! It doesn't really matter though as long as they get a proper look at baby and see that everything is ok.
Plus if you have an internal you get to empty that bladder sooner!
Clearer picture would be good but like you said as long as baby's ok that's the main thing.I'm VERY tempted to (I still have about 40 Internet cheapies!!) but I'm scared to incase it comes back negative
I did 15+ testsI stopped just before 6 weeks, 1) because I had a scan at 6+1 and 2) because one of the tests I took the day before scan was slightly lighter than others. It was probably due to it being an IC (took another one later that day - Superdrug and that was fine). It shook me up a bit so I stopped (seeing Sir Alex on the scan the next day helped too).
DH was quite shocked when I showed him the drawer of tests. He added up how much I had spent and it was about £80!
Be careful taking tests because I've read somewhere that sometimes test wil come back lighter or even negative the later in pregnancy you test. Something to do with there being too much hormone in the urine and it overwhelms the test. I think that was it anyway. Google Pregnancy test and Hook effect and there are some bits of literature on it amongst all the forums. I think they say if that happens you can dilute the urine with water and the test should work.

Some hospitals have better equipment than others I think. Just go with what's on your letter.

Fair enough. It's at the wrong bl00dy hospital anyway, so I need to ring them and find out what's going on - I spoke to the antenatal dept at the hospital I'm supposed to be going to this morning, and they suggested that I speak to the GP, which I will do when they start taking calls again (seriously, part timers - I can't imagine how badly it'd go down if I decided I wasn't taking external calls between 1 and 3!).0 -

That's bad! My letter I had for my booking in appointment had the loction of my appointment but no date or time! It took me ages ringing up to find out when it is.
Hope you get it sorted soon.

ETA: When you get an appointment at the correct hospital sorted you might want to check re: full bladder. Although they should send you out an new letter which would tell you:A 09.06.11:A 07.10.11:A

Thanks for the moral support. Things seem a bit better. I've had a small amount of brown blood after going to the loo a couple of times this morning, but nothing since lunchtime and nothing to report on knicker watch
. I'm a little crampy but not worse than usual for this stage in pregnancy. So far today I've managed to take things very easy and had a couple of opportunities to lie down and put my feet up for half an hour. Hopefully the kids will be content with an afternoon of tv or computer and an easy tea. I'll ask DH to bring home something for our tea and stay on the sofa tonight I think.
Will phone at the beginning of next week to organise a scan date. I'd rather not schedule it before 7 weeks just because even if everything is ok they might not be able to see a heartbeat. I know my doctor has clinics on Tuesdays and Fridays though, so if I could get an appointment for Tuesday week, I'd be 7+1. Obviously if bleeding gets a lot heavier I might have to rethink this plan, but at the moment it seems to be stopping again.
One side effect though is that I've spent the day in old leggings and a sweatshirt rather than my normal jeans and feel so comfy! I might succumb to the lure of my smaller maternity clothes soon just so that I have nothing tight round my waist.:p0 -
Glad the bleedng seems to have stopped Nicki. Let your DH sort tea out tonight and take it easy

Right, I got hold of them finally when they decided to start taking external calls - apparently I have been referred to the hospital I want, but instead of going there for my scan (which is ten minutes down the road), I have to go to a central London teaching hospital to take part in a research project. Which would be FINE if we hadn't moved... Bah.
Ho hum, can't complain too much - I've got my scan date and that's very exciting!0 -
Glad to see your doing better Nikki i used to be on constant nicker watch too! Brown blood is a sign of old blood too so that looks positive aswellMummy of a beautiful little boy and fanatical about christmas

Ok, after the conversations yesterday I decided that I would do my left over digi (it goes out of date soon anyway!) and it says pregnant 3+ so thats good :0)
Have all the other girls that got their BFP's around the same time as me got a date for their booking in appointment yet? I still don't, hope they haven't forgotten about me!
Have a good day, enjoy the sunshine x0
