I was like that too, then I had nausea and felt rubbish, then it went away and I wanted it to come back now it's back again after a week and I feel rubbish again! :rotfl:

How far are you Laura? Mine didn't kick in until gone 6 weeks. Even with the nausea, tiredness, sore boobs and headaches I don't feel "pregnant" just poorly ;) I can't wait to get a proper bump and start feeling baby moving about! In fact I'm positively impatient for that stage! Like it says below - I don't do patience :p

    xx

I am 5 weeks today so maybe its just a bit too early? I am totally impatienet too, already seen LOADS of stuff I would like to get the baby, even decided what pram/pushchair I would like (Slivercross Surf) but wont be able to get anything for months yet just in case :( That being said I was very naughty on Saturday and bought an I love Daddy sleep suit from Next :o

Some people get symptoms really early, others later on and some not at all really so it's just a case of wait and see.
I'm the same I'm itching to buy stuff but won't until we have the 12 week scan (three weeks on Monday hurry up! :p). I felt like I was jinxing myself just buying the "what to expect when you are expecting" book! :o I've also bought a book of baby names but thats it although I've already decided on some of the things I will be buying when I can :D

    Hi Emsbet
I brought a book after the second attempt (first time I looked at the birth pictures and put it back:rotfl:). I also ordered the free book from the Tommys website 'Your guide to a healthy pregnancy' which has loads of useful info as well as a section for Fathers.
Mentally putting together a list of what I can beg, steal(maybe not) borrow and then need to buy.

    Hi Laura
I am like a kid at Christmas on the mothercare website! Love the silvercross surf but plan to try out every pushchair/pram in the shops. :D

Yeah that sounds like fun! Do they have superstore anywhere? They dont have a very big selection in our local one (mind you there is another one near by I can try :)) I really liked the look of the I-Candy Peach but I just cant justify spending that much!!

I anyone is getting any more books, I got a load from Freecycle back in April (when we decided we wanted to start TTC) I would really recommend it, plus they always have loads of free baby related stuff on there

My recollection, from first time round, is that when you have your first midwife appointment they will give you quite a good pregnancy reference book free and for gratis which is as good as any you can buy in a book shop. And when baby arrives, they will give you the birth to five book which is also a good reference book on early years.

I know when I had my last one, nearly two years ago, I definitely got the birth to five book even though having had 3 kids I didn't really need it and had old copies floating around. I don't have my antenatal care on the nhs though, so don't know whether they do still do the pregnancy book but I'd be surprised if they don't.

That's great Icey77, so glad it all went well :)

I'm currently sitting at my desk feeling mega sick as I ate too much at lunch. It's really annoying. I also feel sick if I don't eat enough, or frequently enough - and I go from feeling so full I might pop to so hungry I might throw up. Not fair!

What are you going to knit? I've tried to knit before but I'm rubbish at it and have no patience (and have a Grandmother who loves to knit!) so never persevered.

I'm not sure mines enough to be called morning sickness yet! It's just that i get full to the point of feeling sick quicker!!!

I wish I had more symptoms, I'm getting to the stage where I think I imagined it all! Part of me wants to do another test but I daren't incase its negative!!! Its only 6 weeks today since the first day of my last period and I've had cycles longer than that so I'll be happier in another week when I'm past my longest cycle time if that makes sense?!

I'm currently knitting a blanket....that I started about 4 or 5 years ago! Funnily enough I've made more progress with it in the last week and a half than the last few years all put together!! Today I bought wool to knit 2 cardigans. Mum is going to knit another blanket and also start on the cradigans too. I love hand knit stuff for babies!

I haven't bought anything yet, other than a gorgeous blanket that I bought whilst TTCing. I will be waiting until after the 12 week scan too.

Thanks for the info. I have my booking in appointment a week on Friday so hopefully I'll get something then.

Not sure if they have a superstore, the one across from me seems to have a large range for the size of store.
Not sure where you are but Kiddicare in Peterborough is meant to be good.

    Will check out freecycle:)

We got an iCandy Peach, it's brilliant! I found one on eBay, managed to get it for about half price, which I know is still a fair amount, but it should last a fair few years, and it's the only thing we're going to splurge on.
