    Morning Ladies,

I just wanted to share something with you that happened last night and made me panic, so that if it happens to you you know its fine.

Me and the other half had sex and I bled immediately. I panicked straight away thinking something had gone wrong with the baby. When I calmed down I remembered that several doctors in the past told me that I have very bad cervical erosion (and thats without being pregnant!) and as there wasn't much blood (just looked like there was because it was mixed in with the sperm) and I didn't have any more bleeding afterwards I am 100% sure he must have just banged my cervix. I know its a bit TMI, just wanted to let you know its nothing to worry about if any of you experiance the same :0)
  • Thanks everyone, its annoyed me but nothing i can do eh. I guess the upside to things is at 14 weeks i will probably be able to see the baby a bit better and it will look a bit more formed shape wise. Just want to know its ok, ive kept it quiet and now i wont be able to tell anyone till im 14 weeks which is hard when i have spd and sickness! Hope everyone else is feeling ok, i had the pregnancy hangover for what seemed forever but its thankfully subsiding now, that was the longest hangover i have ever had and no drink too!

Glad the hangover is getting better Candie x
Mishka, where i am, the hospital doesnt tell you at the 20 week scan what the sex is. Its hospital policy they will not reveal the sex! You have to either go back at 23 weeks (and pay £50) to find out the sex, as well as another £5 per pic, Or, have a private scan, which is 3d as well as 2d, you get 3 framed photos, plus the option of a dvd, for about £65. They see you from 16 weeks too. Also, if you go private, you are allowed to take other people in with you. My girls are really looking forward to it :)

I couldn't believe this when my sister had her eldest. They opted for the 4D version and is was fabulous it really looked like my nephew when he was born! When she did it though they had to pay about £100 for it so when she had the youngest they went with the NHS option.

First time round we couldnt find out either, there were signs all round the waiting room (literally - in every language possible on every square inch) telling you not to ask !

Im amazed at all the differences in the care/proceedures from one area to the next. I would have thought it would be a standard practice across the NHS.

From what i have been told, some regions have a higher problem with ethnic groups and gender "selection" issues, which is why some places wont tell you what team you are on. Sad to think that some people would use the information that way, but i guess the hospitals have to ry and do the right thing.

  • I have the Silvercross 3D I find it hard to use and very bulky, have now borrowed a pushchair from a friend which is Mamas and Papas.
I would suggest having a wonder to mothercare to get the feel of the diffent ones, then go back to ebay :) hth x

    Hi, thankyou for that.
    Will try out every size/shape/configuation.
We were at a festival at the weekend and took a wire cart for all our stuff, kept teasing OH as he looked like he was pushing a pram :o

Hope you are all having a nice bank holiday Monday.
Our guests left this morning and while I enjoyed them staying I'm glad they have gone as I feel like cr*p today. Feel like I'm getting a cold, my headache is more persistent than normal and I also feel achey.
I also feel nauseous and shattered. Not looking forward to getting up early for work tomorrow.
