Is mobiles.co.uk in liquidation?

I agree with all that and it does not matter as far as DSR's are concerned what the product is be it a mobile phone or a baby's pram.
The problem is that it's mobiles.co.uk were talking about and you may at some stage have to prove that you returned the phone.
Not accepting the delivery does not prove you returned it esp. if a signature miraculously apears as in the case of one of the many threads of theirs on here.
Far better to keep control and obtain a collection note or if they refuse bung it in the post recorded uninsured if they want to take the risk as that is all that is required. It's not just about the money0 -
Im literaly on the verge of getting a contract with them! But was checking it all out 1st and found this thread. It seems like a really good deal they are offering but Ive never set up a contract online before, Im due an up-grade.
They are offering 13 months half price PLUS some cashback on an 18 month contract of the phone Im after, but now alarm bells are ringing! Does this mean they are fraudulently trying to sell contracts and free phones they know they cannot or will not honour, or is this a red herring as someone suggested or just transitional 'glitch?' I dont know what to do now:eek:0 -

Thanks. I will have a look for more recent threads aswell, particularly since the liquidation announcement. Signing up an 18 month contract need to know its safe first!0

Forget the liquidation notice unless you like fish (red herring variety). The only concern you should have is whether you'll get the cashback for other reasons - and how to make sure you do.0

On the 3rd April 2010 the entire Mobiles.co.uk Limited business was transferred to The Carphone Warehouse Limited. Since that date Mobiles.co.uk has been a trading division of The Carphone Warehouse Limited and as such is a business carried out by The Carphone Warehouse.
We would like to reassure all of our customers that we are still very much in business and are working tirelessly to improve the level of customer service we provide.
Kind Regards
The Team at Mobiles.co.uk0 -
Yes, must be VERY tiring trying to improve the level of customer service - just a pity it's cpw doing the "improving"....
It's also a rather puzzling statement, since I've been dealing with Mobiles.co for a LOT longer that April 2010 - and for all the time I've used them they've stated that they are a trading division of cpw. That's who the LBA's were directed to! Then again, it's hardly surprising that this "Team" haven't got a clue what's going on in their own company...
