I've just done as you asked and by chance clicked on this one!
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/416230
the title is " E: MONTHLY Win £100 Worth Of Prowse And Hargood Vouchers (Clothing)"

but in fact you have to enter by the 28th!

With these monthly "regulars" how do you keep track of which ones you have entered each month?

Personally if there's not a bump to thank then I unthank and rethank the OP when I enter again then I can just check thanked by if I go back in and see if I need to enter again yet. hth. xx

If they are only there to help you find them the first time you read through the comps, they could just as easily sit at the bottom of the main board.

Also, if there is no date, why put "E:" at the start?
(I also wonder why people put "Win a...." in the title -it just takes up space!):)
    I've edited the title :)

My personal feeling for those type of comps is that they should be posted on the main board with the end date of the first draw so everyone would get to enter on time, and then the same thread brought out of Game Over by a Board Guide who can then change the end date accordingly. This way no one will dupe an entry on a one entry for all subsequent draws comp, and no one will miss an entry to the next draw.
It could also be linked to the weekly or monthly sticky depending on how frequent the draws are :)

Yeah, great idea! :D Some are possibly dailies too, I'm sure there's been some before that you enter and get into each daily draw!

All we all really want is not to miss competitions isn't it, it's been frustrating for such a long time for people that enter by end date, and now it's frustrating for people that enter as they're posted, so I guess neither way works as well as we'd like as it didn't work before and it's not working now, but at least the way we're all discussing at the moment, hopefully everything will work more smoothly and everyone will communicate things to each other better! :D

It's a shame everything has had to 'come to a head' to get to this stage, but if what we get out of it means less people missing less competitions than ever before, that's a brilliant outcome in my book! :D

Edited to add: I suppose it has in effect been a case of trial and error!

to add to what BHG said a good discussion in one thread was needed and even though that wasn't why this thread was started at least all the ideas are in one place and more compers have been able to have their say :)

Everybody obviously has their own comfort-zone way of doing things and the comps board - all of it - is so busy and so full that we need to get into some kind of routine in order to keep up. I think it's the fear of each individual comper that they'll have to learn and settle into a new routine if it's changed.

I've been reading this since I joined the debate yesterday morning. I'm a main board user that gets tired of the ever increasing list of stickies I have to scroll through before getting to the actual competitions. But I know the stickies are there for a reason and I even subscribe to a couple that are useful to me (the regularly updated Take a Break stickie, for example). I'd seen the top three boards on numerous occasions, and I've even gone into the I WON, I WON one, although there are so many threads and posts and stickies, etc, that I couldn't remember who to thank. But I did anyway. Yesterday, for the first time ever, I went into the REGULARS board ... and got totally lost. But that's a habit thing. It doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the REGULARS board or the STICKIES. They just don't suit me, just as the MAIN probably (obviously) doesn't suit others.

So, here is how I see it:

    1. Continue to post comps in the E: DD/MM format to the MAIN board where everyone can see them.

    2. Continue to post the DAILIES and WEEKLIES to the REGULARS board where everyone can see them.

    3. Continue to collate like threads and posts in the relevant STICKIES.

    4. By all means MOVE a post from one to the other if that's what's necessary, but leave a trail behind so that everyone knows.

    5. When in doubt, COPY a post to where it may sit more naturally, but leave a trail behind so that everyone knows it's a DUPE but the link is here.

    6. DO THE FLOPPING POLL, ALREADY. :D

Just my opinion - and I'm STILL very, very grateful to everyone that takes the time to post, however it's managed. And just because I'm more comfortable with one way rather than another, doesn't necessarily mean that someone else won't feel the other way.

I would worry that end date compers would then miss it still as they'd likely already have hit the enter button. I honestly think that the only way around that is for us End Date compers (which includes me) to get into the habit of checking the stickies and using regs or making our own.

I checked the daily sticky again yesterday and found another 3 comps that interest me very kindly highlighted by BHG.

I am def going to keep a better eye on regs now, after never using it before. Already had a book turn up that I've won from the daily thread :T
My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly :)

I use it all the time, it's the only way I can keep tabs on what I've already entered.

Of course, with the suggestion that regular compps get pulled out of GO in time for the next draw it makes me worry that I would miss it anyway because I've marked the thread as entered :/

I posted yesterday that it was the company dailys that was in the regulars, but what I meant was that the Glamour one is there with the same answer every day for a different product.
It used to be in the main board and updated everyday with the new product for that day.

But since it has been moved to the regulars, and I must have missed the first day it was posted, I missed half the month of January
Thanks to all who post comps :)

    Hi

Sorry it took some time. Thank you to everyone for your views and ideas. I've read through the thread and hopefully got a good idea of what most people want to happen.

Here are the What do you want to do with Regulars Poll and the Define a "regular" Poll

As things are generally going round in circles now I'll close this off.

    Thanks!

    Andrea :)
