Define a "regular" poll!

Many have differing views of what a "regular" competition is so let's see what you all think.
That way, in future, if the subject comes up again you can say we ran a poll, discussed it and the majority felt it was xxx.
I think that would help the BGs quite a lot.

Could you do with a Money Makeover?

Regular comps are ones which can be entered on a daily, weekly or monthly basis either with fixed answers for the duration or different answers which can then be updated as & when necessary. I do use the regulars on a daily basis but lots of people seem to forget about them so I think that it would be best to leave any of the comps with an end date on the main board but with a link to the regulars as well. I have also voted on the 'what do you want to do with regulars' poll.Positivity is the key to success0

I agree too, sorry. IMO a regular comp is one that has no end date and can be either daily, weekly or monthly with the same prize and answer.Mortgage: Was: £154,495 Oct 2039 Now: £82,340.34 May 2037Swagbucks ~ £155 (2024 ~ £395)Surveys ~ £147.24 (2024 ~ £280.14)Make £2025 in 2025 #5 ~ £964.62 ~ (2024 ~ £2,561.04)0 -

SorryI'm going to be difficult too
I tend to define a regular on how often you can enter it (and how it's posted on here), rather than how often they're posted on the websites, I'll try and explain:
You might get one like a What's on TV one that's posted on here and because it's the same question and answer each time you can enter each day from the one thread/post.
But then you might get one like Company for example, that's posted as one updated thread, so a post on the one thread for each seperate days competition, which is different URL's for different competitions, and different answers, but because it's posted as one thread, I'd consider to be a regular, because unless you see if on the first day you'd miss days.
I hope that makes sense?
Edit: You changed the options as I posted! Thanks!

Sorry
is it possible to make it so that we could pick 2 or 3 choices, as I don't feel reg comps all fit into just one option, iyswim. I already voted, but would have picked a different one now, but ideally, I would class options 1, 5 and 6 all as reg comps. - even option 4 is more of a reg to me.
Esp if a comp only has a 24 hour window to enter. My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly
Our Precious Baby Tianna has now joined our Family, she is much loved and very welcome, xxx0 -

I think this would be a good example of what I call a regular. There is one draw at the end, but you can enter regularly once a week.
Going by this poll, even the 'least lenient' option of a regular (the first one) would cover this competition for example. However I would never consider that a regular myself as it is just a new competition each time.
I would also like to make a distinction in my vote on the other poll between weekly/monthly and daily. I think there is a big difference in how they should be posted. Competitions posted as separate threads would be a lot more manageable for 'weekly' or 'monthly' or 'every other Tuesday' competitions than it would be for certain 'daily' competitions. I.e. so this MPORA shoe one for example, although it does not fit my definition of a regular, it would be silly to post that particular one as a new thread each day.
My definition is quite hard to explain, but I hope that gives you some of the gist.0
