Define a "regular" poll!

i cant vote in this, i consider most of the above examples as regular comps, not just one set of them.0

Does it really matter what defines a regular comp? As long as it posted on the main board for people who do not use the regular section, and are happy with one entry in a multiple entry competition, and as long as people who use both have a way of checking if they have already entered (my suggestion above) does it really matter?0

the 5th option in the poll totally confuses me ... i dont understand how 33 people chose it ??
.. as long as the other poll goes the way it is i'll be happy
I can only please one person a day.... Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either!!very greatful for almost everything i read on MSE (except for the nasties!)0 -

glad its not just me confused.
isnt 5 the same as 3?0 -
I'll be honest I am totally confused by this poll
5 looks the same as 3 to me too - I can't vote on this because it doesn't make sense.
2008 wins £4405 2009 wins £7194 2010 wins £9615
Best wins ever: Laptop, £1000 John Lewis vouchers, PS3, Xbox 360 iPad Mini :beer:0 -

3 and 5 aren't completely the same, as with 5 something can be a regular but have a different URL, but 5 incorporates everything that is classed as a regular (which includes all of the other options).
I've given some examples earlier on in the thread from the daily thread of how things fit into each category, and surely they'd still be classed as dailies after any changes are made, so you can't just pick one of the other categories as it excludes some of the other regulars?0 -
Maybe a simpler poll would be to list the comps in question, and have a regular/main tickbox to see where people would like them posted?
For example:
Nuts/WOTV Regular Board__ Main Board__
ITV Regular Board__ Main Board__
Glamour Regular Board__ Main Board__
All above posted on Main but linked to the Stickies__
All above posted on regs with a trace left on Main__
Don't Know
Maybe that would give a better clarification?2008 wins £4405 2009 wins £7194 2010 wins £9615

But this poll is about defining what is regular and not where to put them?
The other poll is about where to put them once the regulars have been defined from the results of this poll?0 -

I'm glad you understand it hun, cos it's as clear as mud to me! :rotfl: I thought the previous thread had sort of reached a bit of a compromise with each 'side' understanding the others point of view, and now I feel completely confused2008 wins £4405 2009 wins £7194 2010 wins £9615

Sorry
is it possible to make it so that we could pick 2 or 3 choices, as I don't feel reg comps all fit into just one option, iyswim. I already voted, but would have picked a different one now, but ideally, I would class options 1, 5 and 6 all as reg comps. - even option 4 is more of a reg to me.
Esp if a comp only has a 24 hour window to enter.
I did ask 5 minutes after MSE Andrea amended the poll if we could somehow get to vote more than once. If this is not possibe could a BG or MSE Andrea please move my vote from option 1 to option 5 please, as I would have voted for that if it had been available when I cast my vote
thanks, xxxThe other thing with this poll is that further options were added AFTER the poll had already been started ie: some people voted with the options that were originally there.
It would also probably be better to have one that says WITH A LINK POSTED IN THE DAILY/WEEKLY/MONTHLY STICKY THREAD
instead of just regulars board iyswimI am unable to vote on this poll because in my opinion a 'regular' comp is several of the poll options:
- Same URL, same prize, no new answers needed
- Can be entered on a daily/weekly/ monthly basis with fixed answers for the duration or different answers which can be updated as & when
- No end date and can be either daily, weekly or monthly with the same prize and answer.
very true kisto and CrinMy light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly
Our Precious Baby Tianna has now joined our Family, she is much loved and very welcome, xxx0
