try adressing your email to Carol-Ann Scott
    Customer Operations. Vodafone Limited.

she was very helpful. try these email addy's:

    customer.care@vodafone.co.uk,

    webmaster@vf.vodafone.co.uk

you need to write a little sob story.

Also a bit off topic, but after agreeing to cancel i asked a for a PAC code and the normal Customer Service team are Ba****, the way they messed me around, every time i rang up they said i had to wait another 48 hourse for the code, even though they had it all along. This after they found out i was going to 3.

the Complaints department are very good though. still i have a sour taste in my mouth after dealing Voda (we won't let u leave)fone.

    Thanks to OP.
I followed his/her lead and emailed vodafone asking to be allowed to leave contract without penalty as FC had gone bust. Mine was a SIM only contract so I didnt have a handset to sell to offset my losses.
A very nice lady rang me the next day and agreed to cancel without penalty, requiring me to give 30 days notice, which I gladly did. She even emailed confirmation. Big thumbs up to Vodafone and their operator Chantell Hykin.!
  • Hi I am new to the forums - I actually use dvdforums a lot but recently heard of this forum. Thanks tandeh for the email template , I heavily modified it and used my company account to send vodafone an email (they have refused me 3 times already for the cancellation over the phone, and one of the supervisors accused me of pulling wool in over their eyes and compared me with the likes of dodgy people who try to siphon money off vodafone !). Presto chango, today I got an email today 11:00 AM (sent mail on friday after noon last week at 4:30 PM) that my account was disconnected without any penalty ! YAYYYYYYYYYY :j :j :j

Just have used www.saynoto0870.com would have been much cheaper! And you probably wouldn't have minded the wait as much!

just emailed them with my geniune sob story ( and it is as I only used to spend £30.00 approx a year on payg so £30 per month is killing me)

fingers crossed for that phone call.:rotfl:

    by the way

does anyone know when the cpw nec offer ends (£2.99 line rental per month)
    and does it inc xnet.

Emailed them my situation yesterday (sent a message via the website last week and heard nothing back from that), just had a reply giving me the option to leave early or transfer to Pay as you talk.

I think I have to give Vodafone the thumbs up on this one, they seem to be fairly consistent in agreeing to cancellations now. Big thanks to tandeh as well!
