it depends when you started the contract. you have to give 30 days notice though0

To everyone who has been caught out by Forward Cellular’s demise and who’s contracts are coming to an end:
As posted above – Check on the date that your contract with your mobile service provider commenced. In most cases you have to give a minimum of 30 days notice to terminate.
Example: Contract commenced on 16th December 2004 – Notice to terminate must be given at the latest on 17th November 2005.
It is normally possible to give notice to terminate by phone.
For those of you wishing to strike a better deal, speak to your mobile service provider’s Disconnections Department and haggle.
