With my last cheque claim was 'paid' 27th August. Cheque came on 11th October and was sent directly from Carphone Warehouse. The date the letter / cheque was printed was 7th October.

Once the claim is 'paid' I would think all that means is mobiles.co.uk have done everything that needs to be done their end and they then request for CPW to issue the cheque. As you can see that can take quite a while, probably down to them having CPW customers cheques to deal with as well as other retailers that are part of the group like e2save, mobiles.co.uk etc

    Morning,

Thanks muchly. Not sure that my after sales experience is representative (one Swallow and all that) but I am not expecting it to arrive any time soon Lynsey, judging from nickp8's feedback. Anyway, hopefully you too will receive good news shortly.

Re Royal Mail, presumably you did get proof of delivery in the death?

Although I got evidence of delivery off the website, Royal Mail ePod never produced a picture of the signature. Are you saving that this failure is enough to generate a refund of the cost Lynsey? You currently cannot use the Track and Trace option (suggests I 'try later') incidentally.

Be nice to get a little Brucey bonus although I would like to avoid Royal Mail altogether, given the clear evidence that their system is 100% either (what system is, I know, but better than an untrackable eform - right kids) ;)

Lo and behold, my favourite postman has just delivered my cheque from the CPW for £102 (17 x £30/5).
So, this has gone amazingly well, as good as e2save to be honest.
Bill sent on 11/10/10, received (but no Royal Mail sig.) on 12/10/10 and cheque received today 23/10/10 (cheque dated 20/10/10).
Fantastic so far and hope the rest go as smoothly. Obviously the porting went 100% as it should have, which was a relief as it's my 1st ever ported number claim from any mobile company.

Chunks, yes you can claim your "Brucey Bonus" as Royal Mail have NOT provided you (or myself) with the paid for signature.
Well worth claiming, if even to try and get them to do what they sell next time!!!!!!!!!!!

    Edit:
Will I always get a signature and does the person named on the address label sign for the item?
We make sure we get a signature from whoever receives the item, but bear in mind that this may not be the person named on the address label. If there's nobody available to sign for the item and the item is not collected or redelivery rearranged within seven calendar days, we return your mail free, with a note saying why we can't deliver it. On the rare occasions that we don’t get a signature for any other reason, we'll refund your money.
    Good luck to all.

Well done Lynsey another result for the home team
Thanks for the clarification on Royal Mail. Frankly speaking, having got the acknowledgement, I had kind of moved on (to ready myself for the next challenge).

So, gold star for Lynsey and a refund for me.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend all.
  • Does anyone know if changing the flexible booster on your tmobile contract with mobiles.co.uk affects your cashback claim? The flexible booster does not increase or decrease your line rental.

I have recently taken out the contract and just wondering if changing the flexible booster will affect this.

Get written confirmation from them before you change it. Then you can prove that it will not void your cashback claims. Any answers on here won't do you any good if you need to shove when they require you to push.
  • Thanks for that MJ.

Perhaps it would be easier not to make any changes so not to give them any excuse.

Although i could change the booster and change it back in time for when my cashback claim is due and it would not show up on my bill.

I've changed my flexibile booster several times over the first 6 months of my contract I have also had my HTC Desire put onto the correct 3GB data plan and ported my old number in.

I put in my first cashback claim (of 3) on the 20th of October (including a letter explaining the ported number difference and all of the purchase info etc. got my confirmation of Approved and Paid today (26th October) . Now the wait for the cheque.

Fairs fair though so far no problems. !!

how did you get onto the 3GB data plan - i thought that was only availbable if you signed up direct with Tmobile? not through the thrid parties like mobile.co.uk???

Basically I called and queried the situation in the nicest possible way and said that I thought I might be on the wrong plan option for an Android phone.

The girl said to me that it was no problem and that it happens often and that I should be on the 3GB Web n Walk deal.

I know there have been many threads about it on here and I have the distinct feeling it depends on how you approach the call and also who you get and how helpful they want to be. Quite possibly how crappy their day has been too.

It does seem that it's a bit of a mess to deal with.

    Maybe I was just lucky.?

PS for what it's worth my experience 6 months in with T-Mobile has been great.
