Try sending a claim late by a day and you'll see how "reasonable" they are when you have problems.0

Sorry, but the terms and conditions clearly tell you how long you have to make a claim (60 days now, isn't it?) If you don't get round to doing it for nearly two months, I don't see that they are being unreasonable to refuse your claim.
Re 'issues' with printing - LOL - this is just one of many excuses they use.
Other excuses are:
cheque 'stack' in the system,
cheque lost by RM,
it takes so long because the department issuing cheques is in Portugal(!)
...
...
They don't need 28 days to print them and can easily use a bank transfer instead if they wanted. They don't want and it is obvious why.0 -

They could use bank transfer but they don't - you signed up and agreed to the risk and conditions - including 28 days to get cheque. Sometimes things go tit - if you don't like that, don't do cashbacks. Simple. And tough tits if you get the claim in late.0 -
They could use bank transfer, but still take 28 days+ before they initiate the transfer, then blame your bank for not applying it to your account, crediting the wrong account, etc. and it would be hard to prove who was at fault.
As long as I receive the cheque eventually I'm not worried. The terms say it can take 28 days, and to contact them if you don't receive it (however, they contacted me pro-actively to let me know there was a problem, it wasn't an excuse they gave because I contacted them). There is nothing explicit in the T&Cs that sets a limit on how long they have to send a cheque.
Really no-one should be taking out these cashback deals if they rely on having the cheque on time in order to be able to afford the monthly cost of the contract.0 -

Secondly, i agreed to the conditions, not to the risk (that I perfectly understand, but this doesn't mean that I agreed).
And finally, 28 days in the T&C is the deadline, i.e. they are supposed to send it much earlier, but leave themselves some space for 'issues'.Sometimes things go tit - if you don't like that, don't do cashbacks. Simple.0 -
I was merely saying that all these excuses for cheques were pathetic.Firstly, the contract is signed by both parties.

Not simple. I don't like, but I do. This doesn't mean that I accept that are free to do whatever they want and am prepared to allow them doing this.
That is your experience, it does not follow everyone thinks its 'pathetic' excuses, sometimes companies do have problems doing what they are meant to do. You take a risk by entering a cashback deal - that risk either you making a mess of things or the other party not delivering. Yeah 28 days is what they say but all companies can have 'issues' now and then - no point whining about it unless its excessive delay as was the case last year Oct/Nov.0 -

Rubbish, issues now & then might be acceptable but taking over 28 days to print and send a cheque is not 'an issue' - I bet I could make a new application for a phone and have it in my hand tomorrow, but they can't print and send a cheque?
You obviously do not like cashback, we do and we know the risks and the rules - We've adhered to the rules and they have not, fact!
I am waiting for my cashback payment that was received by them on 28 Novemeber 2011!0
