Some good sensible advice, but I believe the new Chief Exec. is a Guy called Roger Taylor?

Is also a little out of date. A LOT of things have changed VERY recently. Anyone ordering a deal from them NOW should look VERY closely at the email confirmation - you will find things are not so simple as they appear.
I actaully believe all the current problems (and there are several - some of which aren't problems at all...) are because they are reorganising and a new level of incompetence has been thrown over them generally. I do not belive it's malicious or intentional or designed to prevent successful cashback claims (and I DO have very good reasons for saying that). Nontheless, the warnings I have always given are now very important. Follow all the groundrules and make sure you know exactly what you're doing. There is now a LOT of ambiguity and contradictions - the latest of which hasn't yet been reported on here. No doubt it won't be too long before that changes, as the cashback claim experiences have over the last two or three months.
I am dealing now with several - er - situations across several contracts (at all stages) which is interesting! It really means paying close attention to everything at every stage (but, then, I always do) and taking whatever action is appropriate to ensure that you are covered whatever happens.
When it all comes out in the wash I now suspect thngs will be easier, not harder; but, then, this IS CPW and assumptions are always a dangerous thing!0 -
Hello all.
@ Lynsey you are correct the chief exec is Roger Taylor, I made a mistake as Charles Dunston is the Chairman.
Ive currently been helping my dad with his cashback on mobiles.co.uk. Hes been waiting 84 days for his cashback with numerous delays and the cheque being returned which I eventually learned was down to them not putting an address on the cheque letter apparently. He then stood his ground and asked for it to go onto his card which they agreed but 10 days later nothing. He then emailed them and they advised that a cheque was sent instead by mistake. Today to my suprise his cheque arrived. Still waiting for the £50 compensation he requested and was advised he would get. We will see on that one.
I also had an issue with mobiles.co.uk with a new contract a few weeks ago and through complaining to Charles Dunston they have agreed to give me all the cashback upfront which totals £1449 (23 months free). I am still waiting for that cheque and also my final cashback claim for my last contract which is overdue now at 33 days. (Still waiting for both of them at this stage)
It seems that if your thorough and stick at it you do eventually get there but always best to not get stressed and make sure you dont give them any excuse not to pay out as mj states and dont presume just read and read it again - and just ride out the storm (with an umbrella if you can )0 -
Not claiming until next week, but how is the online claim going at the moment??
Have they managed to sort the mess out yet, or will RM recorded be the best option??

Put claim in the other day still waiting for the confirmation email to say cheques sent.0

Still waiting for process confirmation of 2 of my claims- first one is approaching 10 working days now (used to take 24 hours or less). I am chasing up customer services.0

Thanks for all the advice on this thread, which is really helpful. Nice to know I'm not alone with mobiles.co.uk problems... I've now been waiting almost four months for a large autocashback cheque - which of course is supposed to arrive within 28 days.
I've had a range of apologies and inconsistent excuses from customer services, but still no cheque. So I guess it's time to forget about customer services and try something new, like emailing the chairman... It shouldn't have to come to this, should it... :mad:0 -
It's simple. Don't wait four months. Once late according to the t&c, send a LBA then sue if they don't pay up within its timescale (which YOU dictate, not them!).0

Completely agree, don't delay-act today !!I've now been waiting almost four months for a large autocashback cheque - which of course is supposed to arrive within 28 days.
This just shows how erratic their customer service can be- my last large autocashback cheque arrived on the 21st day after my online order. Not claiming until next week, but how is the online claim going at the moment??
My last online redemption claim was last month, I didn't get the 'claim successfull' text but claim was paid on time.0
