Update: I submitted a claim tonight on my other contract and have had email acknowledgement. Thanks to Midnight Tboy for the heads up.

MJ- we really appreciate your advice on this forum- no hard feelings.

Just noticed that if I DONT log in, but go to Cashback from the mobiles.co.uk site I can access the page.

The page link there is https://www.secure-mobiles.com/cashback/

Whereas the one from logging in to My Account etc is https://www.secure-mobiles.com/cashback.html

what a stupid error for them to make.

Will attempt to submit this way now

edit - allowed me to submit that way, and still got the confirmation email.

Now lets see what problem comes up next :) And the site had been smooth sailing the past year for me til today :)

They have been changing the submission form recently to allow entering either Order No or Mobile number - or both if you want. Someone just has not updated their existing links. You don't need to login to your account to submit either - I just go via Customer Services->Cashback FAQ (Part 3 of that page contains the cashback submission link).

Thank you. None. Just watch your back and keep at them until you get written confirmation of acceptance OR receipt together with a copy of what you submitted. Also check what arrives - eventually. Submissions and acknowledgements are not the only problem I have come across, but can't go into details on here.
  • Hi guys, update.
I emailed them thru mobiles website. I received 2 emails back.
    1.
    Thanks for your email.
I am sorry but we are experiencing technical difficulties with the customer log in and the cashback form.
I.T department are aware of this and are working hard to resolve the problems.
Please could you send your claim and bill in via recorded delivery to:
    Mobiles address here.
    Customer Support Team
    2.
Sorry to be a pest. Please ignore my previous email.
I have looked at your cashback and can see that a cashback was successful and a cheque for ££££ was issued by the cashback team on 17th November.
Please allow 28 days for this to arrive.
    Thanks for your initial enquiry.

Therefore, even if we dont receive the confirmation email our cashbacks are processed. Ive sent the same bill 3 times btw:)

Now I got to wait for it:)

Your cashback was processed. It is wrong to assume that everyone's cashback claimes were processed.
  • Precisely. They have removed ALL and any telephone numbers from their website and all the previous numbers I used or could have used no longer work. The only number (via one of those on a recorded message) is an 0844 number. Meanwhile, the additional thing I have come across is now a definite in one case. They are in a complete and utter mess - and it's not just submitting cashback claims. This morning there was an unbelievable deal available which disappeared even as I was playing around on their website. I suspect they have arrived at the state of complete incompetence so check your own cashback contract at every stage, assume NOTHING and ensure that YOUR payments are secure regardless of what people post on here.
  • You are right guys, I am just saying claim it few times if you can. Then write to them (yes I couldnt get hold of them too). It took a few days to get a response.
You think I should post my cashback claim nevertheless of answer I received in email?

IMO, a e-mail confirmation that "cashback was successful and a cheque for ££££ was issued" is sufficient for taking them to the SCC if the cheque doesn't arrive.
  • I've just submitted my final cashback claim. I thought there was going to be a problem as they've changed their cashback online form and didn't list PDF as an accepted format. However when I went on to their website today this has been changed and PDF is showing. Within 5 minutes of me hitting send I received an SMS saying that my claim had been accepted. I also recieved an email. I never log in and just put my mobile number as haven't a clue what my order number was.

I've never had a problem with this site and have always received my cashback cheques quickly. My relatives have also had positive experiences with them.

."I can now confirm that your month 9 cashback claim was raised on 27 October and a cheque for XXXX posted to your home address. It may take up to 28 days for the cheque to reach you as we need to process this first"
