I'm just claiming my 3rd of 5 cashbacks with mobiles.co.uk, the first 2 went through without a hitch and was handled quickly. The past 2 claims via the website claim system was acknowledged and confirmed for payment within a few working hours of me submitting it (submit in the evening and processed the next morning by 10.00am), this time nothing has happened all day with the claim. I know that this is well within the 7 days stated on the claim submission auto reply and hopefully will go through tomorrow but have others recently experience more of a delay ?

    I've been Money Tipped!
I've waited up to 2 or 3 days once, but still paid in around 10 days once processed.
Leave it a few days and you can always re-submit - good luck.

I have had acknowledgement of receipt email one day and waited 3 or 4 days for it to be processed and then getting having claim paid email etc.

It kind of depends on the day of the week you claim I think - can't remember exactly which days are more favourable than others but I had noted some difference in timing. But not much to worry about if you are sending your claim in early (i.e. not towards end of the 60 day period).

Thank for your replies Lynsey and OneAday

I submitted the claim yesterday the same day as the bill became available, so plenty of time yet. Hopefully everything will go through OK, just taking a bit longer this time. To be honest claims being processed within 3 or 4 days is still good, but when I've been used to next day processing I just wanted to check if a slight delay to this is normal.
  • They are in a complete mess at present. Don't expect any emails about acceptance and processing. There are other issues I am aware of too. As always, don't assume or rely on "this usually happens". After 7 days contact them via their website and get written confirmation of your claim. Then check what arrives rather carefully....

    I can confirm this.
They blame their system that the cheque "got stuck in", but don't feel that they have any obligations to speed up sending it at last. They give another 28 days for it to arrive. Hardly a surprise that 2 1/2 weeks later the cheque is still on its way.
  • I just signed up to the forums in order to see if anyone could help me on a couple of points.

I tried to order a new phone, i filled in all the correct details, got all the little green ticks, and yes, every single box was filled in correctly, but when i clicked on 'continue' on the bottom right hand corner of the screen, NOTHING HAPPENED!!! I have tried this on 2 different computers, about 7 times on different days since last week, NOTHING!!!

    1) how does 1 contact mobiles.co.uk by phone, till now there was 019 numbers and 0870 numbers 1 could use, now it seems to me they have merged all their numbers into one 0844 number, which is very expensive to call (and they always keep you waiting for ages!)

    2) i have sent them about 5 emails to different mobiles.co.uk email addresses, but have received no reply at all, i have also filled in the contact form on their website, with no results.

    3) Now i have looked back at their website, and i can't find the form to send in a query, nor can i find an email address for them.

    4) I decided to try to call, i waited on the phone, when i finally got put through on their expensive 0844 number the lady said she'd call me back, this was last week!!! i'm still waiting for the return call....

    5) this is all to order a new contract for goodness sake! what are they playing at??????????

Thank you in advance for any advice.

This is starting to ring the 'bad feelings' alarm bells. I assumed as they are part of CPW that they are 'safe' - can anyone confirm or deny this. MobileJunkie you seem to have the inside track?
    I think....

Most recent claim I got the received email by return then nothing for a week followed by a letter 'wrong bill submitted'

Now I ordered at the end of May but got connected at the start of June so I had spoken to live chat who confirmed the November bill but I suspect they may have been wrong. Still I did finally get through on the phone from work and they are sending me the payment early as a goodwill gesture so hopefully the company is still solvent...

If the order was placed in May - and May is stated on the paper you got from them - then November is the correct 6th month bill.

I think they are having technical problems - I submitted a claim on 11th and did not the normal acknowledgement email to say claim received.

Contacted them and got a reply saying they are "We have recently experienced some technical problems with our website but this has now been fixed so please can you try again"

Tried again and still no acknowlegement email - might end up posting the bill if I do not get confirmation in next 7-10 days.
