Well, I may now be heading down the legal route with one of my claims. I've had several emails, basically contradictory and most of them WRONG!

I fear that you may have to; having pushed all the right buttons (as usual) methinks it may now be avoided.

Sorry to hear that MJ. Perhaps too many claims have been handled properly lately?

I suspect that the mobiles employee handling your case has ‘Prevarication, Provocation and Procrastination Response Team’ written on the back is sweatshirt?

Frankly speaking I know who I would put my money on in this case and my sweatshirt says 'Follow the Golden Rules......' on the back.

  • Methinks they either have a flag on my account to say that I don't accept nonsense and WILL sue at the drop of a hat or they have simply (and more likely since I don't think they're that bright OR organised) have learned that when someone (anyone) takes clear and appropriate action very promptly and appears to know what they're doing, they cough up. However, the damage that cpw has done (to their previously very good reputation) over the last two years will take more than a relative lull in negative feedback to warrant a recommendation - or even an absence of warning. Maybe they have realised that they are starting to lose more often than win the game.

In any case, I must admit I'm getting a little confused; had three claims with cpw in two months, another the next month, two others with other dealers... some paid, some accepted, one (cpw) game playing - and I would report a good response from another dealer but that would possibly mislead people into dealing with them at this stage and make public a little too much personal information. CPW is not the only game in town for me now though!

No email acknowledgement yet from Mobiles.co.uk and the last time I had to request it - maybe the same this time, but I'll leave it until Monday.

Lol. Couldn't wait and email sent off today asking for confirmation.
    Will update when/if I get a reply.

oddly having gone down the web form route I have now received two acknowledgements (one from sales) two days apart. Perhaps our friends are finishing off the Xmas sherry, Lynsey?

Not Lynsey, but their on-line system is now playing up again. As long as you then get an accepted email you can prove that they have to pay. If not, contact them by email in a few days and ask for immediate confirmation that they have accepted your claim.
