It appears they have removed all references to the 'technical problems' from their website. Can other's verify this?
Based on Totoriko, I am going to try the email/online chat root for a claim I'm long due.
I went onto online chat and threatened to sue. I have just received 4 emails stating that my cashback has been processed. Its seems like mobileshop are beginning to sort themselves out, well at least no need for LBA letter hassle.0 -

I can confirm that they have improved their cashback service. Two of my cashbacks have now been paid by their due dates without the need to chase up0 -
Still nothing for me.
Part A
Part A claim received on: 31/01/2007
You should expect to receive payment in the form of: Mobileshop Cashback around 60 days after we received your claim.
Part B
Part B claim received on: 14/04/2007
You should expect to receive payment in the form of: Mobileshop Cashback around 60 days after we received your claim.
Part C
Part C voided on: 09/07/2007 - Reason: Expired
Part D
Part D claim received on: 30/08/2007
You should expect to receive payment in the form of: Mobileshop Cashback around 60 days after we received your claim.
NB - Part C I have a recorded devilvery slip for so this is not correct. I have spoken to them today and told them i will send a copy of the recorded delivery slip.
I have spoken to them on numerous occassions (including today) and asked for the interest on my payments that they have been earning and been constantly offered vouchers which I have said are unacceptable. Looks like I am also going to have to threaten legal action.
This is an excerpt from today:
Lara Meischke: given that my first payment is over 9 months late, is there no
way a cheque can be sent?
Emmaunfortunately sending a cheque has the same issues as payments
Presumably not according to you guys. I'll chase them up again.0 -
Just go onto online chat and say the following points:
- I have a cashback query
-- give them voucher number and any other details they request
-- let them look up your account
- payment is overdue
- Please pay otherwise I will sue
Let us know how your get on. As I said previously this worked for me. For another member of my family we sent an LBA which also worked. This was before I found out that going onto online chat worked which is much quicker.0 -
i am a mobile shop customer, awaiting 2 payment, but within the 60 days so i cannot complain yet
what if... i wrote to the - say my terms and conditions have changed and any payment form then that is over due will incurr a cost at the same rate they would charge me for a late payemnt (or my provider etc) - i would give them 30 days to respond befor this took effect and that if this wasn't satisfactory they could payme what they owe me and we could call it quits???0 -
Anyway to chase them up ? I have several cashback payments overdue, they keep telling me of "temporary technical problems" and offering gift cards. Fed up by this all .. I dont want gift cards (they can be "lost and cashed" without your knowledge - happened to my friend), I want money !
Really disappointed with this company .. OSPS is much more reliable from my experience (never tried others though) ..0 -

Did you try what I suggested above? i.e. go to online chat and tell them you'll sue if you they don't pay out.
If that doesn't work just send an LBA and sue if necessary.0 -

9/10 this won't work. Their customer service advisor's don't pay cash backs. Cash backs are made out by the cash backs manager who doesn't go on-line. All the customer advisor's on-line do is merely act as the middle men, they work as robots and pass on message to blah blah blah - nothing happens. Not a good thing to do.
What people need to do is contact the cash back manager direct if you really seriously want your cash backs quickly.0 -

It worked for me and another person on this forum. I was waiting for an entire contract of cashback so maybe that helped.
I would have agreed with your statistics a couple of months ago but I suspect mobileshop have changed. There is no reference to their earlier 'technical problems' on their website, they now sell mostly by refering people to other sites and there are no decent cashback deals listed (meaning they are not loosing any money on the deals they are now selling, a more sensible business model!!).
In any case, it will take no more than 5 to 10 minutes to speak to them online and if they refuse then send them an LBA and sue. I've also gone the LBA route on another contract (before knowing about online chat) and that worked just as well. It really shouldn't be that difficult, especially if they have confirmed all bills received correctly via cashback tracking page, they can't refuse to pay.0 -

Yes I did, - the same excuse as in e-mail, "technical problems". What is LBA by the way ? I am ready for the action ...0
