Did you have to chase them up or did you receive payment without having to remind them? For that matter has anyone got paid lately without threatening court action?0

I just sent them a polite email, no legal threats or anything. First time they replied in the standard format that everyone else here received. Then i got another email after couple of weeks confirming that they have paid and the date.0 -
... I have decided not to judge them on this little episode, but on my future two due claims and my husbands three due claims still remaining
As MS were in breach of their own terms and conditions couldn't you claim for the entire cashback amount? Rather than having to potentially go through the whole MCOL process again?ummm...0 -

Just wanted to give my £2million worth also.....(my first post also!!!).....
I've had two contract phones with MobileShop.com. The first one taken out in Oct 2005, I had no problems with whatsoever. I stuck to the CashBack T&Cs to the letter and everything went smoothly - received acknowledgements and payments were also received in time (that is after 60 days which is one of the longest cashback waiting periods in the industry! I believe e2save.com/CPW is one of the shortest.). With the second contract, taken out in Mar 2006, the first two payments were processed without any problem. With the third payment which was due to paid on 20/04/07, I got fed the "Technical problem" b*llsh*t also - at least they're consistent on that point! Anyway, I've also threatened them with legal action but, to tell you the truth, if they're experiencing "cashflow problems", then this course of action isn't going to worry them much or expedite cashback processing and payment. I've just sent in my 4th and final cashback claim - I don't know if the company will still be around for me to ever see that claim being paid - 60 days is a long time.....
My first thought regarding the replacement Argos vouchers/card instead of receiving Cashback was "how can you pay MORE" through Argos vouchers and also within 7 days if you are having a problem matching payments with claims or whatever the actual lingo was? Once the link has been established and Mobileshop has verified that you are indeed eligible for the cashback, why can't they just pay the lesser amount in Cashback??? Simple - they don't have the cash to pay it back but somehow these Argos vouchers are easier to pay. Maybe someone in the industry can explain this - is this because they have already been paid for (hence no additional cash outlay) or do Mobileshop have a 30 day credit period after which they only need to pay Argos/3rd party for these cards?
Finally, I have been "burnt" previously with regards to Cashback a few years back. The company was called "Mobile Republic" and the company went bust. I can tell you that the tell-tale signs seem very, very similar: late payments all around, cashflow problems, offers of a little cash now and the rest later, etc.....
I have now decided not to go with any of the "dodgy" less reputable cashback providers. In my opinion, these are ones that make applying for Cashback as difficult as possible e.g. by not providing a phyiscal address, email addresses, phone numbers, etc; by asking for original bills and not copies; by asking for ALL the bills i.e. bills 1-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 for the 4 cashback claims together with your original invoice; by stating that if you miss one claim or if ANYTHING is wrong with one claim, ALL future claims are invalidated also!!! Stay away from these retailers. In my opinion, that really only leaves CPW/e2save.com and MobileShop.com (my decision about the latter is "on hold" until I see some "goodwill" from them).
I would be grateful to hear from any of you if you had satisfactory experiences from any retailer apart from the two mentioned above e.g. mobileoutlet, mobilerainbow, phonebox direct, simply 3g, etc. These retailers seem to have the best deals (in terms of the phones on offer) but I feel thaere is a huge risk attached to them.
Finally, I'm sure you all know about these websites, but just to refresh your mind, they might be helpful for some of you chasing 12month free line rental deals:
1) http://www.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!/display.asp?adv=&man=&network=&minutes=&texts=&gift=12mfree&extra=1&cashback=&lr=&contract=&showdeals=50&sortby=
2) http://www.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!/?gclid=CNWDgKLu_4MCFQ9QQgodhwW7ew
I find the best time to get a new phone/contract is at the end of the month, preferably a day before or on the last day of the month.
phew! that was a LOOOONG post!!! I need a lie down now........0 -

Is it that simple?
We're back onto the discussion of whether they are struggling financially (nods to post two previous), but is there any proof other than supposition?
I've no idea why Argos gift cards would get paid quicker and MS haven't explained either, but I'm tempted to go for them this time as after Tesco, Argos seem to have second dibs on my pay packet anyway!
MS do say on their website that the Argos gift cards have been paid for.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
After coming across this thread I checked my cashback claims and found that my third payment was three months late and my final payment was due last Friday. Initially I e-mailed them to query where my outstanding cashback was and was sent the standard e-mail regarding "technical problems". I then sent a further e-mail threatening legal action and asked for a reply by last Friday. I got no reply to my mail and so yesterday I contacted them via live chat to chase them up. Was finally told that I would bepaid in the next few weeks.
This morning I had two automated e-mails confirming that they were paying my 3rd and 4th cashback claims in the next few days direct to my bank account. Fingers crossed I should get it early next week.
My advice - keep contacting them and hopefully you'll get your money!!Matched betting profits since 11/10/06 = £1,5540 -
Just to add my recent experience claiming mobileshop cashback. After checking payments received, I realised that mobileshop were 3 months late in paying my 3rd claim. I contacted them on Tuesday (8 May) with a polite e-mail pointing this out and asking for clarification of when I would receive payment. Like others, I received the automated reply citing technical difficulties. I was preparing to have to go down the small claims court route, when I received an e-mail today saying the claim has now been processed for payment and I should expect the money in my account on Friday. Hopefully this will be the case. My 4th claim is now a week late being paid, which I have again politely informed them about. Fingers crossed they will be as prompt in processing that claim.0

I have a similar problem.
My invoice shows B2B although I originally ordered through the phone number on the Mobileshop Website. At no time was I told that I was dealing with a seperate company until the invoice arrived . Even then I simply assumed that this was the business department of Mobileshop sales.
When I chased my first claim - my voucher had not showed up despite having sent the bill and emailed the bil and faxed the bill - Mobileshop passed me to the B2B helpline who after further chasing eventually admiited they had gone into administration
I argued that I had not been told my contract would be with B2B when I called the Mobileshop orderline, simply that I was being dealt with by their business department.
The cashback claim information I was sent was from Mobileshop.
I was told if the cashback was headed Mobileshop then I would get my claim.
They requested that I send them a company invoice for the whole cashback amount which they would pay . I did so. They did not
I have had several telephone conversations with them and will resume again today.
Bottom line is I will use small claims and notify OFCOM.0 -
Yesterday i sent two e-mails off to MS one from me and one from OH my CB being 17 days late hers 10.
Both were sent within minutes of each other.
The one from me was ever so polite just stating the obvious & that i expected to get paid within the next 14 days,no threats. no reply
The one from OH was worded similar but ended I will expect payment within the next 14 or i will have to consider firmer action but i am sure this will not be necessary. Answered immediately with standard e-mail.
Good luck everyone  when you get it:jBe good to the young on their way up you might need them on your way down.0
