I wrote a letter to the mobileshop after not hearing anything regrading my cashback despite these being sent in in Jan and Feb (two contracts). It says my order was placed with B2B Mobiles and not mobileshop.com who have ceased trading as of 15th March. The letter advises me to contact the administrators. Does anyone else have a similar experience?0

Was it mobile shop you originally took the deal with ? You should have some details from when the phone was sent to you , if you are having problems take the company to a small claims court to get your cashback, you will have to pay £30 to start this procedure but will claim it back when the courts award you the money.0

Thanks. All my discussions have been with the Mobileshop. In fact I have a full note of all my conversations with them including the one where I asked them to clarify what the catch was (the deal seemed too generous to be true) and I was told there was no catch, they received a generous commission from o2 and the cashback came out of that. At no time was I told that the mobileshop only supplied the handset or there was a separate contract for the cashback with another company (B2B) which is what I have since been told in a letter from the mobileshop. I have checked my paperwork and there is an invoice headed up B2B (at the time I just assumed this was the registered company name and thought no more of it because all other references were for the Mobileshop). There is nothing I have received that could vaguely be regarded as a contract with B2B (which has the same address as the Mobileshop....)
I have called my local Trading Standards office and they have referred it to TS in Doncaster, They say the more complaints there are the more they are likely to investigate this company. I am considering making a claim in the small claims court.0 -
That's odd. My 2 O2 orders via mobileshop had their logo and details (mobileshop's) on the paperwork. No mention of B2B0

Just to let everyone know that i got my mobileshop cash today. It was due on 16 April and they were 2 weeks late but they paid up.
They even paid me £15 for referral so i think may be the problem everyone seems to be talking about is the real technical problem.0 -

Did you have to chase them up or did you receive payment without having to remind them? For that matter has anyone got paid lately without threatening court action?0 -

My 2 O2 orders (and I suspect most other peoples's) are also directly with Mobileshop and not B2B.
There may be something unusual about rozeepozee's order.
Rozeepozee, could you post a bit more info as to how/when you placed the order etc?0
