You can put it through as one claim.

Hi, this is my first post so please bare with me. I sent off the second letter to Barclays two weeks ago today, giving them fourteen days to reply. I have recieved a letter this morning saying, it will take between four and eight weeks to investigate my complaint. My question to all you experts out there is, do I now sent the court action letter or will this jepeordise my case?

I would be really grateful for any advice on this. :A

This is a standard letter from the bank so you can move on to the next step in your timescale.

    Halifax Card Services
    £235 claimed
    £235 refunded after LBA sent.

    Whole process took 5 weeks.

Currently at LBA stage for £661 on Halifax current account.

    Heres hoping.

You need to read Martin's article and read it again thoroughly, follow the Reclaim Help Thread as most of the answers are in there. Both are linked in my signature.

Unfortunately until I have all the statements I won't be able to total my charges, but once I do and submit the claim letter Where do I send it? Is it to my own branch or Is there an address elsewhere?

Many thanks in anticipation of your help:kiss:

  • I have got all my statements, and (after a few nights' burning the midnight oil), I have worked out how much I want to claim from Abbey and First Direct. Can I just send them a claim letter, or do I have to wait for them to acknowledge the amount and details? I sent the (Data Protection) request letters last week, and I don't want to wait till they come back to me with the figures, as the OFT ruling might intervene.

(I was aghast to see that over £3,000 is involved. that'll keep you awake at night)

You can just start with the claim letter if you have all the charge details you need.

    HI
I am starting the ball rolling with abbey bank.Last December alone they took £240.00 off me in charges the week before christmas (nice of them)
havn`t a clue in what i have paid in the past 6 years.
Letter number one went off this morning with my £10.00 cheque.
I hope they don`t close my account though as i have two loans running with them for £3000.00 and an overdraft for £1660.00 which they kept raising to cover their charges that month.

But i need advice on a credit card I have been paying £54.00 a month since jan 2001 with the associates(now trading under citi)
Fortunatly i have my statements when all my charges where added taking it from £3800 to £5400 the difference being the charges they added .I went to the c.a.b who got them to accept £54.00 a month with the interest frozen.
I still have to december 2009 until it will be paid.
Have i left it to late to claim back ther charges as i am talking between 5-6-00 until 5-01-01 that £1600 was added in late payments £19.00 a month and over limit £19.00 a month the rest was interest.
can i still claim or is there anyone who could help me word a letter right to send them.
I am Fed up of being in debt and am 40 next week so i am now doing something about it.
    thankyou
