I have just tried and got a really stubborn Irish lady who said migrating or not it was £14.99 for new customers and she demanded my name just in case I called back.
I declined and will try again later.
Because if I can't get it for £9.99 I will do it online and go through quidco for the £45 and once I have the cashback will call them and ask for the £9.99 deal or leave;)

I have just got my router from AOL but I don't want to use AOL's browser.
I have seen the threads about not using the browser.
However I want to set up the router and AOL free dial up access-in case my broadband goes down-will the Easy Install CD let me do this without loading the browser on my computer.0 -

EDIT: Btw you can use the dial-up as long as your router isn't connected - as soon as you connect the router and as soon as it connects, it cuts you off dial-up. You can't use both at the same time so it's ideal if the ADSL cuts out

I called for a second time tonight and this time got a guy who said I can have it at 9.99, 1 month contract and first month free. He also said he would email details to my new aol email username he set up but nothing as yet. But he said he could not email my current pipex one. Why is that I wonder?
He also said that I will get an email stating it will be 1st month free then £17.99 a month but to ignore it as the systems have not been updated with the new prices as yet and just to call them near the end of the free month to go on the £9.99 deal as he has put a note on my account.
Does that sound right or a bit fishy?

It used to be possible as you could switch your account to pay as you use (per min) which didn't have a monthly attached to it, meaning you could keep the account and access it via webmail free, but now there is also a monthly fee of £5.99 attached to it. So NO !0 -
nailman, thats some hardcore negotiation, well done.
I will try this for my friend when he finally gets his connection.0
