Just to say that after reading this and similar threads I rang AOL and asked for the £9.99 12 month contract deal.
I've been with them for a few years and was paying £14.99 per month.
They agreed no problem and I didn't have to sign up to anything else like AOL Talk. The new router they sent through (Netgear DGN2000) took a while to set up as the AOL CD is no good, but it's all good now.
