Ive just got the silver package reduced to £9.99 with the first month free, the 8mb was available but only at £17.99 which i declined,
Very pleased as although some are getting platinum for the same price i dont really need it and cost was my main concern,

I too phoned AOL and asked for my MAC. I told them I was going to change to Sky because the offered a better high speed service. They offered me the same as siCTR. 8 meg download unlimited for £9.99 plus the AOL talk package which is free for the first 12 months then £3.99 after. Couldn't believe it at first.:j I've been with AOL for quote '' many, many years '' so not sure if that deal will be offered to everyone.0

was informed that I could not receive any more than 2Mbps broadband because my telephone does not support it??? Is there any way of checking this??
Anyway they doubled the speed of my Silver package to 2Mbps and put the price down from £14.99 to £9.99...not bad for a ten minute phone call!! especially as I am technically still in contract...although they did make me take a 12 month subscription.0 -

Connection fee
From 1 May 2007 a 3p connection fee will apply to all chargeable calls on all AOL Talk packages. Please note this connection fee applies only to chargeable calls, not calls included as part of your AOL Talk package.
Changes to Indirect Access (IDA) - calls with a prefix code
From 18 May 2007, calls that are prefixed with particular codes, (that route calls to other telecommunications providers), will be charged and billed at AOL Talk published rates and not, as previously, the other IDA providers' rates. For more information about IDA and whether this applies to you, please click here.
Changes to billing
From 1 June 2007 chargeable calls will be rounded up to the nearest whole minute. This applies to national and local geographic calls, international, landline to mobile calls, premium service calls (e.g. 09001) and UK non-geographic calls (e.g. 0845 and 0870).
Whilst some aspects of the new charging represent a decrease in your call charges, some also represent a small increase. All other main terms of your AOL Talk agreement remain the same.
If you have any comments or questions about this change, you can contact us by going to AOL Keyword: Live Help, or you can call us on 0870 320 20 20 between 8am and 12 midnight. Calls to Member Services are free when made from your AOL Talk phone line.
Yours sincerely

This change is disgusting especially after AOL promised there would be no changes after selling out to carphone warehouse,
If a lot of people are affected by this dou you think they would change their mind if we all threatened to move accounts,
